Haaaaaibo ... Youtube she is not working for me?

EDIT: Press play & nothing, just a black box, no controls, nothing?
EDIT2: mmm Cell Youtube working... must be my PC?
EDIT3: WTF?? seems to be my browser (Opera) thats problematic...
EDIT4: Suddenly working again.... Wacky Wednesday?

I was without adsl for 2 weeks and in that time heard a lot from people who use other isp's ....... came to a quick conclusion that Mweb has very few faults and still gives excellent service compared to the others. Had the chance to make use of their accounts dept too and wow, so nice and understanding. Thumbs up all round ;)
 
Youtube is a huge issue.
Constantly having to hear "I thought we have 4mb Mweb Premium Uncapped, why am I battling to watch a 360p video!?" is steadily becoming intolerable.

This has been ongoing for quite a long time.

I don't know - I am getting irritated with Mweb. Last night I was getting ridiculous pings of 3000ms from Polokwane side to the gateway. Web Africa worked fine.

This morning it came right on Mweb, and then it went googly-eyed again. Thinking it was Telkom, I changed to my WA account and I was getting normal pings again.

I'm sorry to read of your experience, which IP's did you test?
Could you perhaps test with the MWEB site and bbc.co.uk with both ISP accounts so I can compare.
Then pm me the results so I can look into it for you.
 
I'm getting rediculously low download speeds at the moment from almost every website (10kb/s range). Sometimes when I hit enter on a URL in my browser, the browser immediately displays 'server not found'. This happens across all my devices and computers.

I also can not stream 360p from twitch.tv for the reasons stated above. Anything up with the network?

I have myself been complaining about youtube performance since January and every time they tell me nothing is wrong. Now this Skype issue as well. The problem has been for more than a week now and still no cause or resolution has been found!

I'm in IT support myself and can tell you if a hand full of people have the same problem PERHPAPS it can be a localized issue, but if so many people complain as I've seen here and on Facebook, then there must be a problem on the ISP's side! Come on MWEB, you are dropping the ball big time!!! I joined MWEB from Word-of-mouth, but many people are leaving MWEB and I cannot in good conscience suggest MWEB as the best ISP anymore. How many people feel the same why as I do? Even if I have the same issues with another ISP at least I'll be paying less.

How's that for performance on a 4Mps line, my cancellation has been confirmed and all of a sudden these are the speeds I get?
Coincidence?

I have a trial account with another ISP which flies when switching over, this is clearly throttling on a premium account, unfortunately I have to wait until the end of March before I can run away from this, but currently not being provided with the service that I am still paying for, cannot even connect to playstation network.

What gives Mweb?

I'd say pretty consistent on the throttling, funny how it happened right after my cancellation has been confirmed.

I would like this fixed before this turns into a bigger issue, considering Mweb doesn't throttle.

I don't mind being shaped but this is clearly throttling.

I'm also getting sick and tired of this crap youtube performance and then these guys ignoring it as if its not an issue! I literally have to refresh EVERY Youtube video I watch one to three times now just to get the stream started!
