Just to add, we require a calendar months notice period. Your account will only be closed at the end of April.

I dont really want to but not sure if its just my account or a general 2mb account. I can barely stream youtube and its constantly falling back to 240P and I have to change it to 360P. Cant even get close to 480P or above

Downloads are fine and browsing is fine but youtube is just terrible. Was also looking at other streaming services and 2mb is just not going to cut it

What do you other mweb peeps get on Youtube. Can you stream on a 2mb account?

According to their own admission, they caused it (over the weekend) - and supposedly fixed the issue (yesterday)
 
Streaming at 720p no problem, downloads from the news server is a little slow but it is expected at this time of the day.

I am trying to watch steams on twitch.tv at 360p and it plays for 5 seconds and buffers for 2 constantly. All the checks MWEB has done on my line indicates it is working fine.

I have to try and do something since I have never had this problem before it started out of the blue and I have been with MWEB since they first launched there first 4mb uncapped accounts. Only thing left for me is to test other ISP's.
 
Trying to watch game previews etc on Steam will play for a few seconds and just sit. I have set my Steam server to CPT Mweb, and there is no improvement. On a 4mb line this is really pathetic. Having the port reset, router rebooted/switched off etc does nothing to improve the situation. Even Windows updates are extremely slow. I even have issues downloading mail from the mweb servers, were all other mail accounts work. All of this on a Premium account.
 
Just wanted to say for the first time in a long time my Youtube is working fairly well. The stream is not getting broken after 2 seconds nor is it switching to 240p!

Thanks for getting it sorted out Mweb - well for me at least. Not sure how it is for the other guys on here!

Ye - I would love to know which Isp does not milk/leech of their clients with this calendar month rubbish
I bet you they dont have a logical reason to do it other than to gain money

Technically it should take the same time to cancel your subscription, as when you activated your account

But they will hold you ransom - the SA corporate greed way

I duno if its just me but i tried to play a game of Dota 2 and my line dropped about 8 times during one 40min game....

Anyone else having issues tonight?
 
YouTube streams 5 seconds and then buffers 2 seconds at 240p - impossible and horrible and that's on a 4meg uncapped premium Mweb.

Just tested a Aftihost trial account and it streams like a dream on my line. Also wanna try open web trial tomorrow.

Afrihost don't have trial accounts?
 
Afrihost do offer 1GB free, I will be testing this tonight. Mweb connection is so slow, even normal browsing is so slow, pages do not laod correctly.

A gig of shaped bandwidth or an unshaped gig?
 
MWEB Guy, can you please help me, I have repeatedly emailed your helpdesk and sales teams requesting the forms to cancel my Mweb account but I have not yet even received a reply. I requested it the first time on 27 Feb.
