I am not the most tech savy person on here but even I know that these speeds are truly awful - joined mweb at the begining of last year only for uncapped 1mb but kept our line with afrihost decided to move the line over to mweb as well last month & this is the result not good at all!!!! where at afrihost our line speed was well over 1mb even though we were only paying for a 1mb line I think I was far to hasty & might be making a hasty exit back to afrihost with the whole package (any comments from mweb guy?):whistle:

Mweb Guy, can you please check my account to see if I am being throttled? I am on a 1mb unthrottled account & would like to know why I am getting download speeds of between 10 & 20kb? (this is almost everynight for the last 4 weeks?) you reset the line for me last week & it's worse than ever!!! :mad:

Good Afternoon, your account is not throttled; however the traffic may be shaped.

Please change your username realm to @mweb.co.za and let me know if connecting with a new IP makes a difference.

If not, please let me know what type of downloads you are doing.

That wont be 4mp line , must be 6mb line with 4mb account , or faster line
 
My line is confrimed at 6.8mbps, yet MWEB insist om capping it at 4Mbps (well, it depends which tech u speak to). The last one that helped me couldnt even reset the port.

I think I got a message when I moved my line to Mweb in Feb to do that & ignored it as I have no idea what to do - can you please explain - thanks:wtf:

Mweb guy will mweb prices ever be competitive as they use to be?

I currently pay R599pm incl line rental for 2mb uncapped. Afrihosts 2mb is R100 less.
Afrihost 4mb 697 incl line rental, so for 100 more i can get double my speed...
I am happy with the service i get from mweb (been with you guys for 3 year) but surely you guys need to keep your pricing competitive.

That uncapped lite service, i've heard is terrible.
 
Hi Mweb guy.

My line has been very "unstable" the last couple of days. Im a netflix subscriber and it use to work perfectly "streaming HD" , but the last couple of days it buffers alot and im sure its not even streaming at 360p.

Im a 10mb premium uncapped subscriber and im very happy with mweb thus far, but please fix this.
 
Well I'll be damned. Switched back to my Mweb 4Mbps 'premium' account that's awaiting termination and torrents are going at 150KB/s. Hardly amazing, but they never used to work at all.

Our team is always looking at the market and pricing of our products. Our customers will be notified it any changes will be made to any of our packages.

Hi frontosa

Are you only having issues with netflix? How is general browsing, is that fine?

Overall everything is much slower... Netflix is just more bandwith hungry than the rest so it shows easier. My ping in WOW has also not been the greatest... Can you check if im being throttled?
