This is what we had happening last week ffs. Can you not fix crap instead of just patching crap.
Hi BigBear
What name do you go by on FB and I'll see what I assisted you with and where things might of gone wrong.
Hi mweb guy
Please check mweb acc
Acc details removed**edit
Pls check line router syncing at 4mbps but barely getting 1mbps on Speedtest
My Ookla Speedtest result - Check out my Ookla Speedtest result. What's your speed?

Morning
Please provide me speed test results using the following account details:
username: guest@telkomadsl
password: guest
You should only be able to access saix.net with the details provided. These details should be entered on your router in place of the MWEB details.
You would also need to know your MWEB account username and password for after you complete the test.
What is the error you are obtaining?
Where are you entering the details?
4MBPS MWEB acc slow 1mbps..
Telkom Guest gave authentication error eventually worked..
Do you perhaps have another router to test with?
No, brand new MWEB FON Router...
It may be the automatic set-up causing the problem.
Can you set-up the router manually Or perhaps test with an alternate router.
I manually setup the router as the auto setup never worked tested with Telkom Guest and Afrihost Acc's
Hi Mephisto_Helix
I have refreshed your account. Please test in 30min and if the problem persists I'll log for you.

MWEB Guy,
I currently have a 2Mbps line with Telkom and the 2Mbps standard account with Mweb.
During office hours, everything works fine. After hours and during the weekend I get an average of 30kB/s. I'm aware that the exchange is congested.
Now if I change my package from 2Mbps (standard) to 4Mbps (Standard) and keep my Telkom line at 2Mbps, would my average download speed increase, even though my exchange is congested?
Speeds are weird lately.
1meg Premium

Upload Speed: 429 kbps (53.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

The following speed test took like forever (like 15-20 mins) to actually finish...
It's the same pattern, the speedtest starts nice and high and then drops like a fly. Also every speedtest/server gives me a different result.
And for good measure...

Don't think so, the problem is with the exchange, not the ISP.
Upgrading your line to 4mb should give you increased speeds.
Afternoon, I would agree with Lament
Upgrading the data portion won't impact on your speeds, especially if your line remains at 2MB.

Mweb guy could you please refresh my account, I dont know if its weather related with all the rain of recent but I cant seem to get full use of my 10Mb line.
Thanks
Mmmmm. Afrihost new Capped deals are definitely much more attractive than Mweb Uncapped deals.
Mweb 2mbit 70GB per month = R199
Afrihost 100GB per month = R199
I won't miss the range extender because mine is not even plugged in. I keep losing wifi connectivity when it's plugged in.
And the FON thingy is also not something that bothers me.
I'm sure lots of guys out there feels the same.
