MOrning, I checked the account and line and everything seems fine.

Your account also reflects two connections. How many active device do you have on your network at the moment?

I don't know who is telling you what, But the KZN latency issues have NOT BEEN FIXED!

Outage Num:20255
MWEB ADSL outage affecting Cape town and surrounding areas
MWEB ADSL members in the Cape Town & Durban areas may experience intermittant high latency
Start Date:2014-04-19 17:14:56
End Date:2014-04-20 10:18:19
Status:Closed

I pay a premium for bandwidth and this is what I get? I am not taking a dig at you, but rather who is lying to you....

What ever was done or changed during the last maintenance had buggered up the network up!

It will be fine for 30 mins, then it goes to hell for another 30 mins, then the cycle starts all over again.

Before you blame my Telkom line, I have 4 ADSL lines and only my Mweb connect seems to be doing this.
Also I am not alone, everyone I know who is on Mweb says their internet is terrible....

Good Day Hummercellc, the network issues have been resolved and I have received feedback from numerous clients advising of the improved latencies.

Note that the latency on your trace results spikes on the second hop, this can also be congestion at the exchange causing the problem.

Please provide me comparative trace routes with the alternate accounts you have access to as well.

I am logging a call back for you, please send me your preferred contact number via private message.

I have a static IP account, so you can't see the second hop in trace route because of the VPN tunnel.

Here is a trace route from my Afrihost Account on the exact line I use my Mweb account on.

I'm getting high latency alerts from my Mweb clients all around the country.

The latency and dropped connections problem has been going on for over a week and half now.

But what do we know? We are just customers......

I gave up, no use fighting it. Mweb can shove it for all I care! :p

Hi Mweb Guy,

I have been called by three different people now. Obviously none of the three told you they had spoken to me?

Same story as always "there are no problems we are aware of"

But no stress, will just have to live with it......

Morning Hummercellc

I checked on our side and our technical will be in contact with you today regarding the query.

Hi

For the past few days I've been getting really bad latency and disconnects. Last night was particularly bad with my line dropping every 10 minutes or so. I'm also getting frequent packet loss. My line is connected at below 2mb, instead of 4mb.

I'm here to just say thank you for the good service. Applied for a DSL all inclusive package which just entitled a line switch from Telkom. I phoned Monday afternoon and it was done by yesterday.

Hi Fancy-Pants

Is your DSL cable & phone plugged into a filter? Is the router dropping connection or browser?

Please send me your MWEB email address.
