MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

I can't resolve any international URLs, anyone else?

Evening, we have no reported international outages at the moment.

Are you not able to access any international websites?

I see Paul Hjul has started the process:

MWEB Abuse Notices Complaint
http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/555327-MWEB-Abuse-Notices-Complaint

Thats good I hope he gets somewhere with it. To imagine I was a loyal defender of Mweb before they moved over to the Naspers syndrome after the good CEO left. Then the network still performed now I hate to attempt to stream YouTube videos.

on a "good" day on premium 4M uncapped.

View attachment 67817

Only a few days left. I tried to hammer the service in my last month but alas to little avail and little to show.

Look I would believe that normally most people are going to defend whomever is giving them [good] service. However since the inception of uncapped its been marred with the "honey moon period", at least mweb passed that and went on to be good unlike a few other. They start great and when it seems that all is good after the start then BHAM! you are nailed by a dragon of sorts.

Sadly it seems that mweb has changed into the bully instead of the good guy, no not mweb guy he [or she] has been nothing but stellar to say the least. I myself thought it strange when the initial reports started where mweb just bullied people off until we hit 8th August 2013 and it all started to make sense. Yes Rudi left, but we will never know why that really happened...

I'm not too sure that Youtube is ever going to be smooth in a sense where it stream consistently. I can't but help to think of someone saying that X is playing smooth, but is 25FPS really smooth? All things can be smooth; its just not always relevant to the crux. Therefor I mostly test my streams with vimeo instead of youtube. Though that does not fix the problem if you want to use youtube. There was this "fix" a while back, but not sure its more than some snake oil in the end. You can however ask where is that CDN we were told mweb were having. shrugs.

Yeah a "good" day... Funny you say that, but at least it seems we are past that stage where you knew end and beginning of the month is going to be really **** as uncapped slows down to a crawl.

If you gave a 2mb telkom line with 1mb account you get really nice speeds. About 1.0 - 1.2mb sometimes

I'm having issues with international connectivity. Can you please look into it for me

Hi nelis, I have tested your line and I see the signal is very low.

Provide me with a trace route to a local and international site

For a couple of weeks now my internet has really been slow especially YouTube streaming. I'm not throttled.

Mwebs Network has really gone backwards.

Latency to vphone.co.za on Mweb Uncapped Static IP account hovers at around 120ms

Latency to vphone.co.za on Axxess Uncapped Static IP account hovers at around 25ms

Latency to mweb.co.za on Mweb Uncapped Static IP account hovers at around 160ms

Latency to mweb.co.za on Axxess Uncapped Static IP account hovers at around 32ms

Latency to axxess.co.za on Mweb Uncapped Static IP account hovers at around 135ms

Latency to axxess.co.za on Axxess Uncapped Static IP account hovers at around 18ms

I tested both accounts on the same physical Telkom Line. So it is not a line or exchange issue...

So I sent in my cancellation this morning.... Mweb is over priced anyways....

Hey Linctagon,

Please drop me a PM with your account info so that I may check this out for you.

Hey Mweb Guy

I phoned in last week to drop my account to a 1gig capped account however the debit order went off at the full R369 not the R29 it should be, please could you check my account and refund the extra if you can asap.

Why has the network been so unstable the past few days?

Maybe they are still experimenting with the throttling system. That why I canceled. By 1G started today so i have about 800m before I wswitch off Mweb forevermore. Afrihost/TI is the next stop. No more lies and bullshi$$ing to bug me.

The debit order roll was created long before you changed. They will have to refund the difference. My 1GB kicked in this morning. My billing shows the corrected balances. They charged me R58.00 instead of the R29.00 for September to November. I will only pay the 29.00 as my cancellation is effective the end of this month of September.
