Still happy with MWeb, but I'm going to see what happens once the new speed packages are released and looking at the other feedback threads it seems everyone is having issues.

I am satisfied with their services so far but certainly wouldn't consider myself loyal. If their new pricing is junk, I'd leave asap.
In fact, I'm quite tempted to give notice already given the delay in announcing the revised pricing. Doesn't leave me hopeful...
I am still left wondering what the underlying goal was/is.
If it was to get the customer to upgrade to a premium account it is clearly evident that those accounts also have "thresholds", albeit slightly higher that the "normal" uncapped accounts. A marginal increase in that (non-disclosed, remember) "threshold" at best.
No, imho, I think that it is a case where someone took it upon himself to say: "Screw you Customer. Get in line with what I prescribe or else begone with you!" without realising, nor understanding, the impact that this decision would have on his customers. A clear case of shooting yourself in both feet.
And as for the 30-day rolling window ... I paid for a MONTHLY service, and expected to be treated accordingly.
All these "measures" introduced under the guise of their AUP without prior notification to their paying customers.
All-in-all I want to thank that person as I am now experiencing the internet as if I were at MWeb before this idiot took over ...
Excellent speeds whatever I decide to do: browse, download, streaming video/radio, upload, torrents, you name it. The ISP shapes the traffic as they see fit and I do not monitor my usage. I am not affected, nor (heaven forbid) throttled.
Will MWeb ever get "The Abusers" back? That remains to be seen ... as the way I see it, more and more customers are experiencing these new "measures" and they will vote with their wallets!
Trying to sign into mail - getting stuck on the Sign Me In ..... just loops and loops until you stop it and refresh
Signing into MyAccount is still broken - does not recognize email address and password
News server is still not working or working for tiny bursts at a time
This is now day 2, it needs to get sorted quicker than what it is

When is uncle Derek going to tell us the new pricing!?
Good Morning, I have received feedback that the news server should be in working order.
Please confirm for me if the news server is still not working for you.
Can confirm it is working ...... still not 100% (freezes now and then) but a huge improvement. Tell the engineers thanks from me![]()
Sure thing, will convey your thanks![]()
Morning, we will make the announcement in due course.
Hopefully sooner rather than later
Hi MWEB Guy, I was away for a couple of days, only started my PC up now. News server is definitely not lekker. Do you need my account details to check or is there still a global issue?
Thanks!
Morning, we had a reported issue on JHB news server yesterday.
The problem was resolved.
What are you experiencing at the moment?
Ons my 2 meg Premium line, the download speed has peaked at 49 KB/s then drops to zero, increases to maybe 8 KB/s in a minute or two, before stopping again. In the last 30 minutes or so, it has downloaded 4 MB.
Same thing. Got some error messages when testing it:
"10054, Connection reset by peer"
"Server quit during login sequence"
It did log in, but is still giving the same performance.
