MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Hi Soul Assassin, I have tested your line and your signal strength is very low.

I have recreated your port and reauthed your account, allow 30 minutes to pass then restart your router and test.

Since my line has now been fixed could you please do this again.

cant seem to download from the news server either... it connects for like a min then it stops then it connects again after a while then stops its really annoying. been happening for 2 days now :(

Hi MWEB Guy, the news server seems to be running again, albeit not at full speed. It seems to peak at 160 KB/s, where I usually got speeds of up to 210 KB/s.

Farewell mweb - This was the last straw that broke the camels back!! I was unaware that mweb had without my permission reduced my line speed from 2meg to 1meg just because I was on a 1 meg package I am really really upset & have just called & cancelled so my line is being moved back to telkom & I will complete the cancellation forms & send back so I will be free of mweb from 1.1.2014

Good Day Madaboutbullterriers, please note that you are paying us for a 1MB all inclusive product.

Therefore if you moved to us with a 2MB line, the line speed would have been adjusted. otherwise we would be incurring the difference in cost.

Sorry that you feel this is enough to cancel your product.
 
Just a thought - has MWEB started shaping news server traffic? That could explain what is happening. It was all good through the night, but downloads are close to non-existing today. Could you please confirm, MWEB Guy?
 
I really, really wonder what all of these people are gonna do when they finally experience South Africas other ISPs...

I used to get what I paid for. Then the new CEO decided to throw MWEB back in to the dark ages and trash any reputation the company had managed to build in the last year or so. I am very happy with my new ISP :)
