MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Hi MWEB Guy. Thank you for the reply.

We require 1 calendar months notice for cancellations.
This part is easy enough to understand.

The problem is that I don’t want to wait until the 1st January 2014 to be told that I failed the exam and my paperwork is not in order. I hoped to receive some sort of confirmation from a human. Now I’m just waiting to hear if I passed or failed the Mweb cancilation test.

I wanted to ask - What is the threshold on the 4mbps standard vs premium accounts??
 
The threshold between the 4mb standard is 110gb per month and the 4mb premium is 400gb per month. I also like mweb a lot , which makes this situation tough :/

110GB is still alot.. I have a 2mb premium and do about 75 - 150 depending on the month.. But i think I can get by with 110Gb not bad price either

R449 p/m for 4mbps line + 110Gb soft capped

Vs Price of AH 100Gb Unshaped + 4mbps line - R622 p/m

Difference of R173 - It is worth it for the unshaped access?? Personally I get full 2mbps speed on all the protocols I access except of course for torrents.. Which arent a real biggy.. But still.. Good food for thought

The threshold is roughly 110GB's for a 30day rolling window

The other is the premium account - http://www.mweb.co.za/productspricing/2/Home/ADSL/PremiumUncappedADSL.aspx
Here the threshold is about 400Gb's for a 30day rolling window

Please drop me a PM with your details should you still want to upgrade the account.

Why does he keep on using roughly or approximetly?

My guess would be that some months there are less downloads available for some (like now - Revenge, Nashville, Arrow, Castle all skipped 2-3 weeks) so there are more bandwidth available for others? Just an idea...
 
I sent in a completed cancellation request on the 26th, getting an automated reply. So yesterday, with the original reference number in subject line I inquired again. All I want to know is if they acknowledge that I will not be billed for January. I got another identical automated response, now just with a new reference number (so now I have some reference for my reference, ha). From my point of view I did all I could and I do not expect a debit order going off at the end of this month.

If you have sent in the Completed cancellation form and sent it to us on the 26th, then this month will be your calendar months notice.
 
Also sent my cancellation in on the 1st , did not get a reply , sent it again today. My account better be canceled end of Dec ...

The trhesholds for the 4Mb premium account is approximately 400Gb and the standard 4Mb account is approximately 110Gb

@ MWEB Guy,

Is there something going on between Mweb and Google? Google Apps are really slow, this includes the search engine. Everything working 100% on AH and IS accounts, do note that it are not tested on the same premises... This happens to be regular occurrence now and then.

The above result took minutes to complete.

Nothing else running online on the network, but it is impossible (time concerning) to access Google Apps, especially mail.
