MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Mweb Guy - I see the 1mb accounts have now been upgraded to 2mb accounts at the same price? I just would like to know if that is the case why haven't exsiting subcribers been notified of this and or upgraded to the 2mb account?

Even funnier is it says you cant upgrade the product online!

My modem is syncing at 2mb (2mb Telkom Line) I only have a 1mb Uncapped package. So no, It's is 1mb Uncapped. My 1mb uncapped is not yet upgraded to 2mb with Mweb.

Apologies.
I misunderstood.
I am syncing at 4mb but on a 2mb account.
I get 4mb speeds.

Not with MWEB though.

Hi Madaboutbullterriers

The reason that the accounts have not been auto upgraded is because the the 2Mb accounts are standard accounts and the 1Mb account is a premium account.

If you would like to change to the standard 2mb account you will need to notify us.

I was stupid enough to do this. The consultant on the other side was continuously asking me if I am sure I want to go ahead with it and I couldn't understand why.

Internet is now horribly slow!
Speedtest on 1mb premium account: +- 0.78 Mbps
Speedtest on 2mb standard account: +- 0.36 Mbps

Changed back to 1mb premium
Speedtest on 1mb premium account: 0.87 Mbps

Hi naasier

Send me a PM with your MWEB details and I will look into this for you.

Hi shooter_ZA

If you have sent in the Completed cancellation form and sent it to us on the 26th, then this month will be your calendar months notice.

Thanks. I got an SMS yesterday and a friendly email today from Victoria that answered every question I had 100%. I'll go check out Telkom for a while and if that sucks, I might just be back :)

2mb Premium account on a 4mbps synced line... Unthrottled.... my usage over last 30 days is 39Gig... with 12mb used this month so far.... yes 12MB!

So tell me why would i upgrade to 4mb/s mweb if i get such a crap connection ?

And this is a few minutes later logged in on my telkom account... which is cheaper than my premium 2mb mweb account... Can you maybe advice me why i shouldn't cancel my mweb account mwebguy ?

But why does it take 30 days? What sort of system would process that long?

Well you could put a monkey in front of IBM's deep blue, the result would be similar....
Although 30 days in, the monkey may be closer to winning a game than you are to canceling.

Trolls will always Troll.

Lots of companies requires 30 days / 1 calendar month notice.

You knew it when you signed up. Why complain afterwards?

Is it fair to change your terms of service without any input from the client or opt out (and leave mweb immediately) option for the client?!?

They still enforced their 30day policy. Does that sound ethical? Mweb are the trolls if u ask me.

If I had signed up post their ridiculous throttle policy implementation, then I agree, I shouldn't complain. But I didn't, so Mweb can now deal with the poor rep that they have created for themselves...

How is the non-premium 2mb uncapped? What is the general amount most of you can do before getting throttled?

If terms and conditions change they need to ask you to accept it.

If they didn't then you still have the right to cancel with immediate effect.

If they did sent you new terms and conditions via email and you wished to ignore it but you keep using their service then they may assume that you accept it.

If terms and conditions change they need to ask you to accept it.

This doesn't mean we can't ask why.

Why does it take 30 days?

What type of system needs 30 days to process a simple request?

Why is mr mweb still using the words approximately?

Well OW requires you to cancel by the 25th for your account to be terminated at the end of the next month :/
