MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Just go Plugg, Openweb or Afrihost and you don't need to be stuck with look-over-your-shoulder internet.

Hi all. Bit of a novice here so apologies for 'stupid questions.

Please correct me if I'm wrong from what I have seen from previous comments : The approximate threshold on our 4MB premium package is 400GB and approximately 950GB on our 10MB premium. The 10MB standard package has a threshold of approximately 250GB.
What is the approximate threshold of a 4MB standard package?
I am currently on a 2MB premium MWEB account and use on average about 100GB month, have requested to be moved to the 4MB standard but after reading all the threads seem to be in real danger of being 'managed'
Would appreciate to know the thresholds of the 4MB Standard and the 2MB Premium.

Thx in advance

@Tap Dog
I think they said about 60GB and 110GB for the 2 and 4 meg.
Im not a MWeb member though and might have it wrong.

Hi

The 2mbps premium threshold is about 200gb.
I speak under correction but I Think the 4mbps standard is roughly 110gb.

Does anyone know what has been happening with the mweb line speeds recently?
I have had substandard download speeds the whole of last month, and today my 1mb line died to 0.18mbps.
What is going on?

MWEB Guy why do you insist on making my life difficult, after all the messages I sent and then deciding I would give MWEB another chance and stay with you, you assure me everything would stay as is and now I log in and see I was moved to the 1GB account and owe over R300, I have a message you sent me telling me I would stay on the 4Mbps account and I can ignore the email, you have communicated that I no longer wish to move.

Just please move me back to the premium 4Mbps account, and it goes without saying I will not pay one single sent of the 1GB bill.

Same here, though I was moved to 2megs. I kinda gave up trying to fix anything now. I go to Telkom, I go to Mweb, problems persists after they make their effort and I don't know who to blame anymore, though I think its more Telkoms fault, they probably don't want to spend money replacing the cables here. I am moving in about 2 months so I hope a new line will fix it.

Hi 00helix, send me a private message with your MWEB details and I will investigate.

Good morning Souls Assassin

I will have a look into this for you.

HNY, MwebGuy.

Is it possible to downgrade from an uncapped product to a capped product? What is the procedure?

Yes you can, send me a private message with which account you would like to be downgraded to and I will arrange this for you.

Looking at the reduction of the 10MB premium to standard account looks to be 26% thus from the 4MB(400GB), can I expect +- 26% of that on the 4MB Standard(100GB)?

Thx in advance

4 Mb uncapped standard account have also experienced throttling after 79 GB a month. Just a warning and I think it's worth going or staying with the premium option :)

Hi the 4mb standard uncapped account has a threshold of approximately 110Gb in the 30 day rolling window.

I know Mweb Guy but I've seen users complaining of being throttled because of using just over 80 GB on there standard accounts. I'm just saying customers should stick with Premium.

The post you link to shows a usage of 125.97GB, which is 15.97GB above the 110GB mentioned by MWeb Guy.

I think the solution to all the unhappiness for MWeb not to call it "Uncapped" but 110Gig or whatever... frustrating to have to worry about a "cap" on an uncapped account.

+ 1000000. That will win more support towards Mweb
