I understand how frustrating this must be, tell me do you have a pots filter connected to your line ?
 
Took me ages just to sign-up for a Afrihost trial account since Mweb DC's me every 10 seconds.

Now its working perfectly. So to answer your question Mwebguy; Yes I do have a pots filter.
 
I took the 7 day Mweb Trial. Signed up on Saturday afternoon for the main purpose to evaluate if Supersport streaming really is faster/smoother on Mweb than on other ISP's. Well I wasnt impressed. Too much hiccups and stutering/buffering on my 2MB line.
Will the trial just expire after 7 days with no consequences to me? I dont have to give formal notice of cancelation or any other crap right?

I have reauthed your account, allow 30 min to pass then restart your router and test

Hi mweb guy,

I tried to use my internet this morning and realised it was quite slow.

I then checked my account status and it says that I have downloaded 4.35 gigs so far this month and that my connection status is throttled. Is this normal? Will my speed be this bad for the rest of the month? Because in my opinion I havent downloaded that much at all

Hi Mwebguy tried to open a web page and got to a mweb landing page stating that I have reached the amount of connections on my account. Which is very strange as everything was working fine at 5 this evening. Restarted my router and now the line is dead.

Evening, the account is showing an active router connection at the moment.

Are you able to connect to the internet?
 
I recently upgraded to Mweb 2MB UNCAPPED. Can you please tell me exactly how much I am allowed to use on Uncapped per month? I used 70GB last month and now I am throttled to a speed that NOTHING works! This is really horrible!! Please give me an amount of data that is allowed on your 2MB Uncapped exactly? This might be the last straw for me with Mweb.

Which 2MB account did you upgrade to? The Premium or Standard?

If Standard the threshold is in the region of 70GB on a 30 day rolling window.
 
Re-auth my account or something. Every day around this time and forward I experience problems with LoL and Hearthstone, but before this and late at night it works perfectly fine. Internet works perfectly fine too.

What can cause this problem? Trying to download the new patch from LoL as well and it is going around 0kps-7kps on 2meg line.

Can't test my FNB account at the moment as I am still working (friend playing on other comp), and I don't have time to keep trying to sort this crap out.

If these problems keep occurring I am leaving, last time I tested this problem is was Mweb and FNB account was fine, if I test again and I get the same results I am going to be one very frustrated customer.

Provide me with a trace route to a local and international site.
 
What can cause this problem?

If its at a specific time during the day, it could be exchange congestion or contention ratio.

I suspect MWEB guy needs a tracert to look at where the issue is - likely at the exchange, if a Telkom issue.

If its contention ... not much you can do about it or Telkom can do about it. In this case an alternate ISP account would probably work better, or a better priority account from MWEB.

Hi Handz, we are not experiencing any mail or message centre related issues.

Send me a private message with your MWEB details and also tell me are you not able to get your email via outlook or the message centre
