MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Note: Seems Afrihost are having the same issue looking over their support thread, possibly something bigger than mweb, but still, as my ISP id like to know why. Obviously you can only let us know in the morning due to time rite now, but still.
 
Exactly the same issue for me.

The issues started yesterday (Sunday) with poor international speeds for browsing and today it's disconnects and poor speeds.

International gaming problems has become a real issue which MWEB need to resolve ASAP.
 
Yea just getting packet loss for 3 days straight now, its VERY frustrating, there are many of us posting of the exact same issues all over the country, could we get some feedback please



Any more information from the engineers?

Yup same, its around the same time every day, around after 10pm uptil 6amish

Good Morning Guys, we have no reported international outages yesterday evening.

Did the gaming latency issues persist through the course of the evening?

I noted that the problem does not seem specific to our network and that some clients are having a similar experience using alternate ISP accounts.

Telkom is busy with maintenance, however I cannot confirm if this was affecting your experience with gaming in any way.

I have also request our gaming team to verify if they are aware of any server related issues or if they have had a similar experience yesterday evening.

My issues persisted throughout the evening and I'm not at home right now to check whether my connection is any better today. Twitch and youtube were unusable and even the amazon websites wouldn't load with a number of other international websites either taking minutes to load or failing entirely.

I was constantly disconnected from battle.net throughout the evening. Additionally my in game ms was at times more than double what it normally is with no other traffic on my line.

I switched to a webafrica prepaid account to see if that helped and everything ran perfectly, my international browsing was fine, including youtube and twitch, after the switch I wasn't disconnected once. I include the name of the ISP purely in the hope that it helps to diagnose the issue.

The international browsing issue has been present for me since Sunday however the disconnects and high in game latency only started yesterday (Monday).

When you get home and the problem still persists, is it possible for you to provide me comparative international speed test results using the two account.

Trace routes to bbc.co.uk if possible as well.

It Carried on for me till just after 1AM id say then it was fine for about an hour.

Woke up not to get ready for work and noticed i cant even log onto WoW itself to do my garrison missions.

I hesitate to actually post this in case I somehow ruin it all, but I have had no problems logging in to my game at all since last week Thursday, which is the day MWebGuy was supposed to give me a report on what was causing my problems (still waiting on that, btw). I assume something changed in the background... at least I hope so! It's been flippen great, and I hope it continues :)

Having said that, I too experienced multiple breakdowns in international connection last night between 11pm and 1am. How you are not able to pick up on that is.... well, puzzling to say the least. It has been much better today, so far.

Hi, I just wanted to report that my line seems back to normal now so I haven't done any further speed tests or traceroutes. If the problems occur again I will make another post with those.

Hi

I'm just curious to see whether any other Mweb users are experiencing connection issues today. At about 00:30 my internet died completely on both Mweb and Webafrica, today I am experiencing disconnects every few minutes and very slow load times for international and some local pages. Youtube and twitch have been bad the whole week but are unusable today.
