MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback - Part 3

Hi

I'm just curious to see whether any other Mweb users are experiencing connection issues today. At about 00:30 my internet died completely on both Mweb and Webafrica, today I am experiencing disconnects every few minutes and very slow load times for international and some local pages. Youtube and twitch have been bad the whole week but are unusable today.

Afternoon Grynne, we have no reported international or network issues at the moment.

You do make mention that you are having the problem with an alternate ISP as well, which could point to a problem at the remote end or the line/exchange.

If the line is with us, we will need to troubleshoot before logging the fault.

Calling in is an option ;)
 
I'll be calling in the next few minutes but just to clarify my earlier comment, it was the 00:30 outage which affected my webafrica account. I just logged into it again to check it and it ran perfectly, allowing me to browse internationally and use both twitch and youtube with no issues.

We have picked up that many of our clients have been affected by load shedding.

Perhaps monitor your experience and let me know if the problem re-occurs
 
Well after being hung up on twice by the call center support I don't think I'll be bothering any more.

It happened in the last ten minutes.

My webafrica account seems to be working perfectly so I will be using that while I make a decision as to whether or not to continue using mweb.

We will investigate this from our side.
 
I believe that I may have chosen my words poorly in my earlier post and rather than edit that post I would just like to comment that "hung up on" should, I think, be more accurately phrased as "cut off".

Although no longer an MWEB customer, I must say, the fact that there is an MWEB Guy available over weekends and afterhours, is impressive.

I would like to commend MWEB on this.

Should I ever drop my current ISP (with whom I am quite happy), I would definately go MWEB business again - ie MWEB sonder the throttling.
 
Hmm... after approx. 2 weeks of being able to login to my game with no problems, it seems we are back to square one - no problems with websites, able to stream YouTube etc., but no login :(

Are things still working for you, Drifter, or are you also suffering from the return of this issue?

Nope, all fine by me, just horrendously slow.

Couldn't agree more :( I've been waiting for somebody from WA tech support to reply to my ADSL ticket since 4 days ago.
 
Mwebguy could you check whats wrong with my 2mb account i only get like 2kbs on speedtest. Thanks.

I have checked your account and I can see that it is throttled at this point
