To be honest, I am tired of hearing that. There are too many members on here complaining about gaming issues, especially in the last two months.

Can you check if Ive been throttled? Actually been getting these speeds for a while now. My Xbox downloads are taking AGES bud.

It is certainly not throttled, give me a trace route to a local and international site

Never mind it does the same on my Afrihost test account. Must be a Telkom exchange problem, will give them a call tomorrow.

Your network has been down right sh** this weekend. Had 500 ping (So did others who were on mweb) yesterday. Not going to bother with tracers or ping tables. Streaming and browsing are sluggish.. Your network capacity might not even be near 80%, probably due to your shaping.
 
Anyone struggling with Youtube? Normally I can stream 720p, today I'm struggling with 240p. I've been away for a week so I'm not sure how long it's been bad.

What speeds are you getting in YouTube stats? We've been seeing some shaping, usually to ±2Mbps speeds, which is usually good enough for 720p. See previous page(s).

I've been dealing with higher level support, and they're onto it.

Also noticed since Saturday that youtube has been slow. Have to pause every few seconds for 720p on a 4mbps line

Have you tried alternating realms? @mweb.co.za / @dslmweb.co.za.

I'v also been in contact with support about it. Alternating between @dslmweb and @mweb and reauth of the account did nothing for me. The only thing that did make a difference was when telkom upgraded my line from 8mb to 10mb on saturday, obviously reset the port and it seemed to run fair (2.2-3.2mb) most of the day and then on sunday it went back to its 1.2-1.6mbps speeds in the daytime

Hi Mweb Guy, some more feedback related to my gaming. I tried to connect yesterday at 16:05, and to my surprise I got in, there was no in game lag, and it was perfect, just like over the weekend. At exactly 17:15 my connection dropped, and that was it, could not reconnect to game at all, even as late as 22:00 last night. While I was struggling to connect, all my clan mates across the globe were having fun playing online. USA, AUS, Uk, Pakistan, Malaysia, Egypt, Phillipines, Turkey, Denmark, Netherlands, Itlay, France, Cyprus, Greece, India and I can go on. Only this poor sod with his MWEB account that doesn't have the privilege to participate. Whatever you guys did two months ago, undo it.

Mweb is really starting to piss me off, for the last week I've been monitoring my speeds and not once have I got my full speed (4Mbps uncapped premium). I've had this same bs for the last 2 months and all they say is its the shaping, 00:00 to 06:00 (which is when I should get full speed) is still shaped hard, I'll be lucky if I get 1.5Mbps. I don't pay R540 a month for this crap! And right now I can't even Google anything just times out.
