MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Browsing slow, News server connected but getting 0 kbps. Streaming video not working.
 
yup... mweb news server is dead... connects but no data transfers,however international (astraweb) is fine
 
news server KINDA back, connects but looks like all data that comes down gets rejected
 
Hi MWEB Guy

Any news on when the cut over will happen to Seacom's core network ?
 
I'm contemplating moving over from SAOL 1Mb to Mweb 1Mb.
Not for price, but for the FUP - with SAOL it's 40GB!!!
The price saving is only R11.

I mainly use it for *cough*p2p*cough* (but not all day every day), steam, and online gaming.
Very little browsing, mail and youtube

What do you guys recommend?

I've been doing 150GB a month on MWEB 1Mbit. Not much p2p, but when I need p2p, it works at half to full speed. Great service for the most part!

That is true, I dont mind, the wait just a heads up would a more a less eta would be good, I cant complain, been getting great service, just want to know when the news servers would be back up

Thank you Mweb after subscribing again my speeds are beautiful (apart from being charged pro rata for October and Novemeber, and we signed up on the 1st of Oct and only got the service on the 25th) and my overall experience is well worth it :D:D:D:D:D

Just remote into my pc at home, and I can confirm NNTP is back up and running getting full speed, just transferred my line to MWEB which was done swiftly.
:)

So it looks like I'm going to MWEB --> Sorry SAOL, had very good service from them though.
PS - what is the GB usage on average of you guys?
I average about 100Gb to 150GB --> do you think I'll be strangled?
 
I am P%$^ off! For 2 days now running at less than a 1/5th of my normal speed. Youtube etc impossible! Not even a bloody explanation or sorry from MWEB! This is k@k service! But I guess that is what we are used to in SA.
