Just got this E-mail...I thought mweb blocks spammers...or try to :?
"Hello

Im Engr Ahmed Musa. Im a Libyan national and i was living in Tripoli. For the past few months my country have been undergoing war crisis due to the push for the change in government of our president Mummar Gaddafi whom have been ruling my country for the past 41years. I am a humble and peace loving gentleman and i never like crisis or war but My country has been undergoing war crisis which was why i decided to move out of my country and start a new life elsewhere and i have managed to come to Dubai where i am currently staying temporarly to look for a permanent city where i can invest my capital for my better future.

When i was in Tripoli i worked with National Oil Corporation but due to the war in my country, i have decided to move out from my country for safety purpose. Im seeking your consent to know if you are capable of investing with me in your country a very profitable business. After making some verious Reaserch concerning on how to make some investment in life and a very Good profitable one as well. i will like you to advise me on what business that will be very Profitable to me and you in your country. I will be greatful as soon as I receive your reply indicating your interest and ability to assist me in handling this.

Good Afternoon 325i; you could also add the email address or domain to your always block list on our account management site (my account).

A Nobel-prize is probably out there for anyone who can design a perfect spam-filter, that never creates a false-positive or a false-negative and adapts to changes is spam emails over time :)

Didn't know spam filters were that complex.

Not too sure what IP you mean but tried with 168.209.98.66.

All 4 connections seem to open, then a few seconds later the connections disappear and I get an error about connection refused.

Gonna try with another usenet downloader and see if its maybe not my client

Ping news.mweb.co.za and use the IP generated there.

Please do let me know what your experience is like using another client.

Ok, then the IP is the same.

Have now tried using grabit and news rover and both clients also fail to connect.

Good Evening acidrain, please let me know if you are still not able to connect to the news server.
 
Nope still refusing connections. It's not a huge thing since it's only a backup server when my paid server goes down.
