Is everything suppose to be extremely sloooooooow. i cannot watch a single youtube video without it buffering ALL the time.....

i am so fed up with having such slow speeds when paying for a 4mb line........

At the stroke of midnight my NNTP downloads normally hit full speed, this time around its the complete opposite, currently running 1kb on my 1meg line, everything else okay......strange..........Testing new shaping policies Mweb? :)

Just a glitch I suppose, everything back to normal. :)

I seem to be getting alot of stuttering and bad lag on TwitchTV as of the past 3 days.

Been fine here since the 1st. Streaming now at 480p on 1Mbit account (although it sometimes peaks higher due to 10Mbit line).

Why do you guys come here bitching and moaning if you guys know that the fault isnt on MWEB's side, Seriously I wanna know.
Might have something to do with the R539 that goes missing from my account every month.

I am still having lag on both TwitchTV and GomTV on my mweb account , anyone else having a problem ?

GOM TV working here. Albeit a few jitters as per usual with their PoS player. But no "time outs" or error codes etc.

Destiny  stream working, 360p.

MWEB 1Mbit/10Mbit line.

Our offices have had no internet for 3 days now.... :erm:

Only the odd emails trickle through...

We moved recently and are now connecting to a different exchange. Wow what a difference , it`s always been pretty good but now it`s great. Only reason for this change must be that the previous exchange was somewhat congested ? Can I expect the current quality of service to deteriorate as more people joins the DSL network on the new exchange ?
PS...thanks MWEB , your support was great as usual getting us up and running again.

Hi jboyx,

This doesn't sound right, please can you PM me the MWEB account details so that I can look at it from our side.

Regards,
MWEB Guy

I really feel for the Isp's, they have to compete with the likes of Telkom who screws them and us and they have to put a product out there that's attractive and reliable to consumers. This is the crux of the matter because its a shaped product its difficult to please everybody's requirements especially what we paying for these accounts, we have 24/7 downloaders, youtube/ tv streamers, gamers, vpn/rdp, and everybody expect there service to be top notch.

Seriously cut the ISP's some slack for atleast putting something out there that usable, just my opinion :)

That doesnt prove anything, every single ISP is experiencing problems similiar to MWEB. So I dont see why everybody is throwing back flips when they clearly know that the fault is on Seacom's side to begin with.:wtf:

Last update we got from seacom on their website.

"SEACOM’s Mediterranean partner's network cable repair was successfully completed at 14:00hrs GMT on 29th October 2011. SEACOM had moved its customers onto alternate capacity and is now scheduling a non-service affecting maintenance window to move them back onto our core network.

SEACOM continues to monitor the situation closely."

So if I understand that correctly there shouldn't be a problem with seacom anymore

you actually starting to be annoying with protecting mweb. We do not pay money to SEACOM but we pay to mweb thats 1stly,
2nd we customers and we are not happy with the service we receiving at the moment.
3rd. When mweb agrees on using any cable they take responsibility to their customers for whatever happens to the cable.
4th we have a right to complain to mweb. same right as mweb can complain to seacom so my point is please stop with your bull**** coz noone is clearly interested in waht u think to be honest.

Im still having problems, internet is slow/lags out. Ever since the 31oct, but the network status notices are still the same so I guess a problem is still there. Only seems to be fine at around 3am in the morning for awhile. :erm:
