All is not sorted out yet.
I'm in the Joburg / Ekhuruleni area, have a 384kbps line and should be getting download speeds of up to 40kbps, however at best I can only reach 25kbps and at worst 9kbps.
It's got nothing to do with my router and since others were / are having the same issue since night as well, it's not only me. Please can you sort this out already and get things back to normal. It's so unnecessary to keep having to deal with these MWEB technical issues.

Good Morning Viper87, what are you downloading?

Also note that it is business hours and your download speeds will be affected by shaping.

Firstly, good morning MWEB Guy.
Secondly...Really MWEB Guy? Really? Shaping since last night? Well after business hours have concluded? Really?
I'm downloading normal files from normal sites that have never been shaped before....none of this torrent or news server stuff.

Hi MwebGuy,

Somefing wong. I get intermittent connectivity to some international sites. For instance just did a ping to www.jaguarpc.com and it's dead as I dodo, however works on afrihost account. It comes and goes - on one second off the next.

Good MOrning, I have tested this at our test bench. The tracer resolves and I can access the website itself.

I have changed a setting on your account (testing), please reboot your router and let me know if your problem persists.

Hmmm. There seems to be something fishy going on. I'm pinging 300ms+ to MWeb.co.za and its coming through in AION aswell

Code:
>ping www.mweb.co.za -t

Hi XennoX

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I'll look into this from my side for you and PM you as soon as I have some info.

Kind regards
MWEB Guy

MWEB Guy, my control panel issue was sorted today and I'm back on the old account (as well as the old DSL account).

I was a little concerned when she said, "Some settings may need to be changed on your router but you'll have to speak to the technical department if you have any problems" (or something to that effect). I soon found out what she meant when I got around to turning my PC on and realised that the new [email protected] account was dead :p

Had to go through old e-mails to find what the old one's username was :p

But all the same, my problem is sorted and I'm once again a very happy subscriber.

Thank you so much for your help and to everyone involved.

International OK ??? Getting timeouts and slow loads on some pages at the moment !

International is fine here. No time-outs, no lag and Skype video is as smooth as silk.

Only criticism is that I can't stream video on Mweb tonight >.<'

Vimeo, Kotaku, Steam trailers, YouTube, you name it. All of it buffers and all of it is sloooooow.

Yeah - I see it's only on a particular page at the moment. Rest looks fine - probably didn't need to post that !. Cheers !

Can u assist MWEBGuy?

Sent request to mweb sales and info, no response, just automailer promising 2 day max response. Now day 4. I will PM you account number. Thanks. Mortiiy

1) I am unable to access my account via the mweb website. I see a moment’s Logme-in screen, then that vanish and I am on the products page although top right says I am logged in. Pop-ups are enabled.

2) I need to change my product with Mweb. Where do I go for this? Changing from 1

3) I do not get monthly invoices from Mweb via this email??
