MWEB Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Diablo 3 on Mweb

I'm really starting to worry. Next week the biggest game of the year comes out and I'm worried that i wont be able to play it during the day because of this throttling that's happening. Can you guys from Mweb confirm for me that Diablo 3 will run smoothly on your network or should i go buy myself a 1gb prepaid account to use for it?

Is there anyone from management that can get hold of me about why things are so terrible. Clearly mweb seems to not give a crap about a lot of complaints.

If not ill try hellopeter.com and then if nothing comes from that ill go to another isp.

I don't think there should be a problem with the release of this game.
Check out our Gamezone site, a lot of fuss and branding is being made about it so I doubt that it won't perform.


@Bar_Rat - are you only having issues at the moment with torrents?

Torrents are still very slow(10-15) but least they going not like earlier but still not what they were. The problem is that all P2P seems dead during the day. Only after 5pm did everything start coming alive again. Will this change because i have a feeling this will affect those playing D3.

I'm sure all these factors will have been brought to the attention of the person/s at the helm.
So I doubt there'll be any issues, like I said, there is quite a lot of hype around this game and that cannot be ignored. ;)

And will we see an improvement in torrent downloads anytime soon? Or at least get them back to how they were?

Ive seen that and lets forget torrents. My p2p programs(like steam,hamachi) don't work during the day. I cant even connect to them. Only after 5 did hamachi connect and i was able to update steam.
Is there anything that you can do about this?

Yeah, this is the same problem that I'm having on an OpenWeb Gold account, I think there's some upstream shaping that's hitting some people trying to use secure stuff. After more than 3 days I finally connected to Steam(worked after killing the .blob) - took about 10 minutes to connect, launching games seems to time it out. VPN crawls, IMAP+TLS just checking mailboxes takes a minute or two.

Just saying - it's not just mweb, but at the same time, it's not all users or specific areas. I've noticed that it's mostly 1mb people tho.
 
Been having weeks of awesome ping and now it's back up high ....... is there an issue?
 
Ok, a quick question.
Is the attached speedtest about right or can it be better?

We are aware that torrent speeds have dropped off a bit in the past few weeks but we are monitoring this and believe that the p2p experience is still well within acceptable ranges. If you are experiencing any other issues we need to trouble shoot this on a case by case basis as there are many factors which could be affecting this

We appreciate your frustration, but we are not experiencing widespread complaints, right now I have handful of people on this forum saying they are having problems so please work with me to get an understandign of what might be causing this :)

Thanks for the reply. Will keep you updated and let you know how things are going. Just as you said its frustrating and we all get impatient. As long as things get sorted out then ill be happy.

Well the issue seems related to WoW specifically. Go three PC's that run it on my local network and each cannot connect. Friends of mine with other connections seem fine though.

Everything else seems OK however.
