What happens when you put it back onto ADSL2+ ?

That switch does not change the speed of your line.
 
So I've just been transferred to a 1meg account :D THE SPEED!!!!!!!! :D :D :D And the process was smooth and simple, I just don't know why I didn't get this done sooner ;) Pretty much sent in the request yesterday morning, by 4 yesterday afternoon my line was syncing at 1024/512 and this morning my account was finally pushed up! Thanks Mweb Guy & The Consultants over the phone!

I checked the open log on the account and I also noticed the line is syncing at less than 3Mb and the attenuation is up to 59dB. All of this I will be adding to the open log on the account.

Thanks for the results.

Line seems good, account is fine as well. I re-authed the account, power down the router for 30 minutes, test and monitor after that.
 
Im also having connection trouble on my 4meg line since yesterday. Did a speed test and these are the results:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 69 kbps (8.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 47 kbps (5.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 962 ms

Please provide me with your MWEB account details and I'll investigate further.
 
Any word on the 2mbs data package now that Telkom have confirmed the line speed upgrades??? Does Mweb expect to have something ready soon/beforetheswitchover or eventually? Hopefully the price will be roughly the same as what the 1mbs was pre-recent-drop.

Hi Basjohn

Regarding 1mb to 2mb we really can't confirm anything. We are awaiting feedback from our Products team as to how we will proceed going forward. Once we receive the feedback, we will inform our customers that will be affected.
 
Any issues in Durban still ongoing? Latency is over the 300 mark, not serious yet, just curious :)
