MWEB UNCAPPED FIXED?

106kbps... i guess thats normal on a 1mb line. browsing normal. email normal. filesonic erratic from 10kbps - 106kbps... for the first time since 16 August 2011...

i'm to afraid of thanking mweb as this might be another fluke...
 
Personally I'm not a fan of Filesonic. Performance pulling files from their serves has been poor regardless of ISP... I've tried both shaped and unshaped accounts and performance varies but is seldom at maximum line speed. SO either all ISP's are shaping traffic to the Filesonic servers or Filesonic itself cannot accommodate demand. Not the case with Fileserve, Megaupload and Oron though.

PS I don't use MWEB. My comment is more about Filesonic though and therefore pertinent...

I find pulling a file from filehippo.com is usually a good indicator of where true line speed is at...

mweb shapes filesonic... no getting around that... other than that, it seem that mweb is 100% again. it seem that all my issues had been sorted.

Mweb are falling over my side. 3kbps on 4meg line (if i'm lucky)

Yep mweb seem back to full speed. I just wish that right at the beginning they had admitted that there was a problem...
 
Seems weekends are regular maintenance at MWeb. Perhaps I've been unlucky and my issues are Telkom/Backbone.
 
just had my second back call from mweb tech and my line is as stable as can be.

mweb guy said the guy would call back, and he did an hour earlier than arranged.

the mweb tech guy said he'll call back today and he called back.

my line had been reset from telkom, mweb and my side.
