1. Why would you need to check it, its uncapped!! :wtf:
2. Go to a wifi hotspot in a hotel or where ever and use it... username&password... all done :)
3. Donno this one, maybe check the email they send you confirming your account for instructions

Let me help you here

How does one check their usage on these accounts?
Why would you need to check it, its uncapped

How do you make use of the 300 free wifi minutes?
You have to be in range of a mweb WIFI hotspot. They are mostly found at coffee shops, Airports and hotels. If you do a search for an mweb hotspot via you WIFI the name should read "internet". If it does not say "internet", then it's not an MWEB hotspot and you will not be using your 300mins. Hope that helps.

How do i set up the mweb email add?
Question is. What email program will you be using? Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express

Go there. log in. You can:

Check usage
Change password
Check remaining wifi minutes
Setup more email accounts
Get fax2email
Checking billing history

Just log in there. There is a bunch of stuff there that you can do.

Its uncapped remember, no more worries.

Why would you want to use mwebs email?

all of this shouldve been asked when opening the account (or at least explained how to change your password from the default they give out)

If they claim you are abusing it, it may be useful. You can also see if you are making use of the uncapped or whether a fixed bundle would be more suitable. Some might just want to brag about how much they used!

So, no, not such a stupid question.

How do i set up the mweb email add?

I highly recommend that you DON'T use the MWeb email account. One day soon, when MWeb isn't the cheapest ISP anymore (or offer crap service, or overbilled you, or just plain pissed you off), and you want to switch to another ISP, you will be forced to stick with Mweb because you decided to use the Mweb email address.

Rather sign up with Gmail, or another free email service of your choice. That way you can keep your email address for life, without having to pay any company a single cent, or being forced to use any company's services because your email account is hosted with them.

DON'T USE AN EMAIL ACCOUNT FROM YOUR ISP. YOU WILL REGRET IT.

The same can happen with Gmail. You heard of AltaVista, Excite, InfoSeek and Lycos portals? Well they don't exist anymore. They were the most popular search engines in their heyday. Heard of USA.NET?
Furthermore Gmail is ok when it works, if you have a problem - the support options are limited.

If his email is so important that it not stay on MWEB it's also so important that he does not use a free ad based email provider. He should buy a domain and rent a cheap email solution for a few dollars per year on that domain name. If the email isn't that important, then he can use MWEB or GMAIL - MWEB offers better support and could be faster as it's on the local MWEB intranet while
Gmail is further up the pipe - even if co-located locally and may be slower. He can always send an email to all his friends saying he is quitting MWEB and send his new address well ahead of any move to MWEB. If he's a business or prints his email addy on cards and t-shirts, he should buy a domain name instead - ideally .COM or .ORG. A gmail address for a business is less professional than an ISP based email address which is less professional than a custom domain name.

The cheapest ISP changes weekly, so I'm pretty sure Gmail will outlast that

That's what people said about InfoSeek, AltaVista, HotBot, Lycos, Excite etc - all of these services offered free email. Sites like Tripod, Xoom, GeoCities, etc also went out of business or changed their business strategy to no longer offer email. Usa.net addresses were hot in the 90s. Now Usa.net is a paid provider of email solutions. You're right that gmail is less likely to go out of business than some small ISP but
if the email is THAAAAT important a bought and paid for domain for the next say 10 years at $7 per year is guaranteed to not go out of business for that period UNLESS the world comes to an end.

Most people just dont know that these free email accounts can be used in Outlook etc

Outlook is a terrible email application. :(

Oh please Google isn't going bankrupt any time soon. Plus remember Google makes its money from advertising, better for them to have free email service and pump it with ads.

Outlook if used correctly is fine
