Mweb Uncapped Speedtest results

Howzit, got a 4meg, but its too expensive to buy cap, so i was thinking of going with MWeb uncapped, but some users are happy and some arent... i know there is a already a thread like this but this one is for Speedtest results only... so could you pls post them in here thanks :)

Speedtest does not tell you the true picture about how Mweb is shaping or throttling. In fact sometimes it tells lies about the true state of the experience.

Close but not completely correct. Ruling out syncing problems between your router and the exchange (hopefully everyone are savvy enough to check that themselfs) it will tell you if you are being throttled. It will tell you zigalo about what the shaping situation is though :D

I do however have a torrent and a rapidshare file downloading in the background at 30-40kb/s each while i was doing the test

MWEB is selectively throttling certain websites so it won't show that. It also doesn't show what they are doing to torrents, games etc.

Download Speed: 591 kbps (73.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 373 kbps (46.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 255 ms

I would like to apologise to MWEB and any readers of this thread for posting the low speedtest results we got from our 4Mb uncapped account, the problem, our office being too far from the exchange :(
