Okay, so I faxed off my documents this morning, I went up to have breakfast, I get a call from MWEB and bam, they want to process my application but I missed a signature, so I rush off to refax the document and 3 minutes after that, I get another call and bam, Tracy Jacobs from MWEB calls me to tell me that my application will be done soon (as in today!).

I get home, open my e-mail and bam, all the details, I test the account and bam it works.

Now, to test the account, I open STEAM and download America's Army 3 getting 400KB/s.

Point of this post is to praise MWEB, for not only doing my application so fast, but damn it man, they did it on a SUNDAY!

Very impressed.

Thanks Tracey Jacobs.

Good for you! I wish I could share your enthusiasm.

I have been a subscriber to MWEB (and previous companies which they took over etc) since 1996. I pay my account by debit order a year in advance (my account is paid until 28 Feb 2011). At this stage I cannot even consider using Google Earth or You Tube for fear of running over the 3GB cap. Why?

The saga so far:
1. Existing (loyal) subscribers are shoved to the back of the queue - our accounts will only be uncapped from May.
2. Battled for 3 days to get an answer to the 08600 32000 number. Finally got through today.
3. I don't want any speed increase (i.e. nothing further to pay), merely to enjoy the cap being lifted.
4. The technicians cannot uncap my account because "Client Services" have to enable the account! Client services do not work on weekends.

I suppose they've got my money and now I don't matter.

Oh... really sorry Warped.
Maybe PM the MWEB rep and chat to him.

My post is a good one, I'd like to keep it on topic.

Already did that - he can't help either.

Anyway - enjoy it! I must admit my experience with MWEB until now has indeed been excellent with good technical back-up, knowledgeable support staff and generally very efficient, much like your experience.

Nice to hear.

Actually, I did it this morning because I was taking my GF to breakfast, I didn't really expect it to be done on the same day, I mean, come on, it's a SUNDAY!
But it was done and I'm very impressed.
Now I just need to contact Telkom tomorrow and cancel my 5GB account.

I have also sent through my forms but i am still waiting for my account details!

Well, on Wednesday night before the big uncapped reveal, they had accidentally scheduled their Facebook ad to run, and I saw what the details were before they had officially revealed them.

I hopped on along to the FreeTheWebSA page on Facebook and posted the details there, but was asked to remove it in order not to spoil the surprise, so I did. A few minutes later I got a Facebook message from the page admin asking for my email, saying that they'd "hook me up with something cool" for helping out.

I was like OK :p The next day I got an email from someone in their marketing department saying they were giving me 3 months free uncapped 512Kbps for helping them out with keeping the big reveal under wraps

So *praises* to MWeb once again. We'll definitely be sticking with them after the 3 months!

Pretty standard service by the sound of it, that's the service what I would expect.

They closed at 3 and i sent it in a bit before 3 so they didnt have time to process the applications. So will get it tomorrow!
