Can Mweb's BiPAC 7401VGP router be used for another ISP? According to the packaging it is locked to MWeb's network, but is there some way around this?

Anyone?

I need to switch between ISP's so this would be helpful for me in the sense that I will not need to buy another router.

If you want to test it with another ISP, send me a pm and I'll give you my webafrica prepaid details. There's no harm in trying is there? ;)

I just received a friend's OpenWeb account details that will test it with.

Thank you for the offer though. Seriously.

If it's locked, you can try and flash the router with Bipac's own software

Hi

The Mweb 7401VGP is locked to the MWEB network.

So if you got the router by Mweb then you must one of Mweb's accounts to be able to connect to the internet.

Only MWEB. :rolleyes::mad:

Does the router support bridge mode? You could probably use it that way then, either that or try and get the original Billion firmware and flash it with that.
