I can't get this to work, using IM chat & google talk but inviting contacts wont work, should your contacts also have a google talk account or should the contact add normally like via mxit?
 
You need to sign into BeeJive (there are free alternatives out there, I think) with your GoogleTalk account. You then add a MXit contact with their phone number (replace the leading 0 with 27) - eg. if their number is 0821234567 then us [email protected]
If this doesn't work, then use [email protected]
If it still doesn't work then have them add you from their side (there is an option to add a GoogleTalk contact in MXit itself).
 
will get mine up and running tonight, have to flash 2.2.1, tried on my current 2.2 last night, no go...
