What have they done now?

We wanted to check the balances on our vehicle finance accounts regularly, but instead of calling the 086 number or waiting for the monthly or periodical statement to arrive, we wanted to link the vehicle finance account to our internet bank account.

MY bank says this cannot be done at present. Their IT engineers are working on this including this facility, but we will have to wait.

I repeat: They made BILLIONS from us last year in terms of banking costs. I suggest they get better IT support.

Maybe different backend systems or databases, and now they working on making it possible for that information to be displayed on one platform?

We customers can be demanding, but when you think about it, it's not that easy. :)

Pitbull: It's called consumer rights. Are you one of those people who could get a fly in their soup and simply keep quiet and finish the meal?

I had to get a new credit card... the wife lost the previous one.

Got the new one... then got a call from the Nedbank, when are you going to make a payment?

I said... when you add my card to my profile... like my previous card was.

They say "no, you have to go into your branch and have them add it"

and I said "Why? Surely in this day and age of technology you can do that without my help?"

They say... different departments ... can't help you.

I say... while i have you on the phone, can't you increase my credit card limits for my garage card since the petrol price has gone up?

They say, no, you have to write a letter to card division.

FFS! Are we living in the Victorian Era? They will quite gladly take your money, but don't expect them to offer any kind of service!

I don't care. I am not interested in the banks' problems, I want solutions. It's what I pay them for, it's not a charitable donation, they have to do their bit to earn it.

What bank you with blunomore? I finally managed to link my VF account with my internet banking, it wasn't easy though. I'm with ABSA and so is my VF.

ABSA ... hence the title of my thread - MY Bank - surely you have not forgotten that mediocre marketing campaign of theirs ... ? :D

No Blu,

Ur borred and keep looking at things that just does not interrest the rest of the world. So what if you bank doesn't allow it ? There is other things in life that I think is more important than me having to log onto internet baking and and and.

You bought a car for a set price, set installment for a set period. I fail to see why you would want to check up on these things. If you still have to pay R 4 500.00 per month for the next year then that is what it will be :D

No, we have automatic payment orders, but we wanted access to the accounts on internet banking.

I see now, I thought you wanted to make additional payments via internet banking. I would also like to be able to see what's going on with my VF acc online but unfortunately it's not possible. Should be though.

That is nasty. I could retaliate in similar fashion about the content of some of your posts but it is beneath me to behave like you.

If you do not want to read a thread that I started, simply ignore it.

I would like to see things like settlement debt and months left to pay (since I am paying in extra amounts).

Ok given,

But do you want to check it every second day ?

If not a call to the finance house takes 2 minutes :o

Sorry if it came accross as blunt and rude.

I log onto internet bakning once a month. I have no debit orders all is done via EFT. My credit cards are linked to the account, my load account is there and and and.

I pay everyone and everything, and that is it. I don't need to see how much i owe who and and and. I still fail to see why one would need access to that account.

I also pay more on my car installment every month. I know it will be paid off in June next year. So I will pjhone at around Feb to find out if I still owe and how much. If I over paid, they will refund me :D

Yeah, not every second day, maybe two or three times a month. I don't have a land line so try to avoid making calls where possible, especially calls that put me on hold. Would just be a bit more convenient to check online, but it's not essential I suppose.

My BANK
Started charging me R7 a month admin fee for my homeloan when it started a 16 months ago.
Then it went up to R14 after around 8 months.
Last month they charged me R28.
The payment they calculated for this month is R127 higher (than the previous month) than it should be.
(And I paid in an extra R12000 on it last month - interest rate unchanged)

Jus't don't get time to go there.:mad::mad::mad:
