I recently ordered an iPhone. Now I am wondering if it was based on need or greed. Deep down I think it was greed...but I blame it all on Bill.

My new iPhone - Need or greed?

I am waiting for the 3G model, for me it's greed than need.
Because if I want to listen to music, I got Ipod nano 4g, Games? I got PSP and I got a Pocket PC phone which can do almost everything a computer can do....

I've been playing with them at the Apple store here. Not really feeling that I would need it. More of a status symbol. I think when apps come out there will be much more that I would need it for. Until than, I'll just wait for hardware updates and price drops... :)

Everyone needs an iPhone like they need a hole in the head. Microsoft are saints compared to Apple! :(

But if you prefer being locked down on absolutely everything - from the applications you load on the phone YOU PAID FOR, to the type of content you're allowed to load and play on that device, go ahead.

I've tried all the Apple mobile devices and I just can't see myself forking out that kind of money for an intentionally crippled device that just looks pretty.

But maybe that's just me...

That's why I will wait for the 3G one, but from what my friend in UK told me, iphone works faster than the current PPC phones, graphics looks better, no lag and with the new SDK 2.0 there will be loads of programs (some will be free) coming.....

Today I'm glad I don't have a 3G version, used 108 megs of data at R2 / meg today.
Would've probably of used more if its faster.
Need to look at buying a bundle from MTN.
