Got my geforce 260gtx today. Here are some pics and initial tests.

One comment so far. In windows this card's temps are much better than my 8800gts g92. The g92 would idle at 62 degrees while this card idles at 48 degrees.

First things for now all of these tests are with the cpu at stock 2.13ghz so it will be holding the card back. I don't oc in the summer since it gets too hot so I will only do the tests with the cpu oc at night.

The gpu temps only went as high as 73 degrees during the 3d mark 06 run.

Seems to be an issue with the future mark site it the moment so will have to wait for actual results.

As far as 3d mark vantage goes this card beat my previous score by 3000. 260gtx 9419 and 8800gts 512mb got 6989. Bear in mind the 8800gts score was done with older drivers. 177.83 vs 178.24 but also take into account the cpu was overclocked to 2.8ghz when the 8800gts was benched while it is at stock for the 260gtx.

Congratulations :D I got the Leadtek version which in heavy-duty started screaming at me. Apparently it was/is a capacitor problem. It was sent back today for a replacement. So I'm out of gaming for a few days :(

Congrats,i envy you,the leadtek gtx 260 was R2600.00 from rectron last i checked.bear in mind,that was before the rand/dollar debacle.for that price.it was the preffered choice over any stock 4870

R3700. I can't buy from any suppliers directly so that's retail from landmark pc. It was also old stock that hadn't been effected by Rand/Dollar turmoil.

but have you seen what the 1gig AMD hd4870 does with 8xAA? my word, there's barely a hit in performance from 4xAA to 8xAA... It's basically thrash's the gtx260...

But still a good buy
 
Nice results! My CPU bottlenecks mine quite a bit, but that's an upgrade for a later stage :D It's great to see your results though, thanks stefan9 :)
 
Awesome :) The GTX260 seems to be a good price : performance card :)

My 8800GT is still going strong, though :D
