I have found that you cannot access the router homepage when the proxy server is enabled under connection settings

Try reboot your router and PC, dont know why but that fixed my problem before.

That's true, if the you use a manual proxy, you can't access the router, if you have tried to reset it and it sill doesn't let you log in, I usually throw mine across the room a couple of times and magically it works again.
Just wait for the stupid thing, it should let you access the gateway soon enough.

throwing telkom things around, sounds like a plan

Also try access it through telnet, if that doesnt work then i dont know.

Try setting your TCP/IP settings to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and do a traceroute ("Tracert" run command) to any web address. The first IP it picks up should be your router's IP address.

tracert gives me 10.0.0.2
and my ip is on automatically

I have tested it on 2 other laptops and both says page can not be found

Ok last resort reset your router but if that doesnt work u gonna be buggered

My router did the same thing once when I upgraded the firmware.
Had to do a hard reset to fix it.

You didn't maybe disabled your Access Status for Telnet,FTP and Web in the Remote Management Control page? It should by default be set to LAN only.
If you did disable this feature for all three protocols you will not be able to access your router and will need to do a factory reset.
