My vodacom number does not exist when phoning from Telkom

Hi All,

I was hoping someone can help. I have been battling with my vodacom number for over a year. Some Telkom users, when phoning me, get the 'number does not exist' recording. I believe this to be a porting issue. I have been on the phone with Vodacom plenty of times and they have tried various things to resolve, but the problem still remains. My orignal number was with vodacom, then I ported to Cell C, and then back to Vodacom.

Was hoping there is a Vodacom representative here that can help. I see a few people here has had the same problem.

Any suggestions?

I had the same issue. Speak to telkom guys and ask them to change the routing rules. they should be able to fix. Log it on hello peter else it will be difficult to explain to those guys over phone free support

But I have tried talking to Telkom, they say that it is not their problem, and I am NOT their customer. Bit of a catch 22.... Have not tried the hello peter route though, might be a good idea....

Vodacom needs to do this - they have not completed the porting correctly.
