MyADSL Movie Thread

I thought there was another book in the series, The Bourne Legacy even though it was not written by Robert Ludlum like the first three books.
Oh well a good movie indeed, infact the whole bloody series is fantastic.

PS: I haven't read The Bourne Legacy.

Yeah there's also The Bourne Betrayal, both written by Eric Van Lustbader. But they didn't quite receive the same reception as the first three by Ludlum. The way I see it, maybe they should leave the movies as is, otherwise they might just ruin something great.

Indeed, there may very well be a fourth titled Legacy. Reason being that apart from Identity, the other two barely had any resemblance to the books. But it's still just rumours floating around the net, so for now it's a trilogy :)

Still think this one was the best so far though, non-stop action from virtually the first minute whereas the previous two started off somewhat slower.

btw, Bourne >> Bond :D

Watched License to Wed the other day as there was nothing else I hadn't seen. It certainly is not very good, but not as bad as people have been making it out to be...

Bit of a chick-flick for sure. More than that, it was nothing specially bad.

Just watched deja Vu... Man there are some time-travel issues with this one :p

A lot like the Lake House in some regards as well and that is not a good thing.

These are the latest movies i have seen rated on a scale of 1-10

Next - 8
Evan Almighty - 8
Premonition - 8
Hills have eyes 2 - 3
Fantastic 4 Rise of the silver surfer - 6
The Number 23 - 7

A whole lot of nothing on at the movies right now - watched Evan Almighty, which was pretty poor I thought.

Desperate need of some fresh ideas out there

See there are plans to make a Star Trek XI sometime in 2008 to be a prequel of some kind to the original series of movies...Hmmmm, any Trekkies out there?

Huge Star Trek fan but I'm nervous about calling myself a Trekkie ... I've seen clips of those guys who dress up like Klingons and walk around flashing that V sign at everyone :D. Thanks for the link, looking forward to another Star Trek!

Guys, the best movie I saw this year was Pan's Labyrinth. I see LoneGunman's mentioned it. I actually went and imported the dvd right after I saw it. Do yourselves a favour. It still shows at some cinema's for those of you in CT, at the Labia and Nouveaux at Waterfront. Jo'burgh, try the artsy type cinema's. The rest of you will probably have to wait for dvd. Mindblowing stuff. Look it up.

If you're not sure then it is probably best to get tested. :p :D

BTW if you want to see what constitutes a truly *bad* zombie movie you need to see the classic `Omega Man' starring Chucky Heston (1970s?) playing (as usual) a plank of wood --- needs to be seen to be believed. A performance so bad that it will make you pine for those irritating kids in `28 weeks later'.

Its actually loosely based on a book called "I am legend". It's the blue print for all zombie movies ever. Although in the book its not really zombies, but the entire world infected with a type of "vampire virus", with only one man that is not infected.

Do yourself a favour, read the book, its amazing. But I see they have made a remake of this starring will smith (*spit* freakin hate him and he's taxi cab ears), read the script (that I hope this remake is based on), and that was also pretty cool (in regards with the book)

This flick's already a few months old, but has anyone seen Smokin' Aces? Great hitman movie... really enjoyed it.

Nearly two months since the last post in here...? Poor form...

I can contribute only so far as to say that Ratatouille is pretty poor.

Blades of Glory ... trailers made it look like cr@p, but watched it anyway. Was darn funny :D

Hey Henry is back. Thought you'd fallen off the edge of the planet

Watched Sophie Scholl : Die letzten Tage.

Scholl was part of the White Rose (Weiße Rose) resistance group in WWII Nazi Germany.

Brilliant film.
