MyADSL Press Release Re Sentech Speed

i belive it is time to start working on a press release to inform joe public of the MyWi Plight ...

1)that the promises to fix the speed have not come to pass and service has further degraded
2)there is a lack of openess and transparency regarding the problems
3)the story about the contention ratio is not as simple as Pkbs/30=4,8,16 and that overseas where speeds are 10x that of a 56k modem on 512kbs the contention ratio is 1:50 not 1:30
4)telkom is the root of all evil and there of priing of service has led to companies like sentech raping the consumer....

any other ideas ...
 
Possibly the most important of all:

Questionable ethics in their provision of services to the public, given their treatment of customer concerns - indicative of a mindset that is not focussed on service delivery, but is instead intent on gouging the public.
 
* Misleading of the public as to the meaning of the packages 128, 256 and 512.

* Patronising call centre representatives with their arrogant disregard for customer intellect.

I think a press release from MyADSL is a great idea, as long as it represents the general feeling of the members. Although I do not want to interfere with the MyWireless forums (you guys are in control!), I will be grateful if you publish any official MyADSL press release here for approval by the MyWireless mods before releasing it. I have a fairly large database of media contacts if you are interested. I am also preparing a media report regarding MyADSL’s top 5 finish in the Financial Mail website survey (http://free.financialmail.co.za/report04/websites04/2-top5.jpg & http://free.financialmail.co.za/report04/websites04/) and will gladly ad your release to it if you are interested.

yeah that was what i wanted ... get a list of points that we want to get accross once sentech misses there deadline ...

i failed english on my arse in high school so i wont be writing it ill get my wife to do it if there no volenteers ... post it in this thread get the stamp of approval from yourself RPM and prehaps other mods then get it out ...

i think it is important that we voice our dissatisfaciton and disapointment at them missing the deadline they put in the press and doing so in the media is required....

so any other points to be conciderd ???
any volenteers to submit a draught ??

For the press release I will need a contact person for the MyWireless service that can speak on behalf of MyADSL. I have very little knowledge about the service and it will be great if one of the mods (preferable) or alternatively one of the senior members can make themselves available for this task. I don’t think this person will receive many calls, but it is necessary for any media release.

It might be a good idea for official spokespersons in each of the main cities, so as to include the local and community press. Bearing in mind that MyWI is very much a service that impacts on the ability of local communities to interact, I would think it to be of worth for this approach to be taken, thereby including the Caxton publications. In the event of the members agreeing to be nominated, I would propose TheRodent for JHB...
 
RPM, on a lighter note, if Sentech can launch the service with their knowledge, everone of us must be considered an expert and qualified to comment on this service :-)

Here's another crucial point - 256k package users seem to get the exactly the same cap on international as the 128k package users. I think Joe Public might be pretty shocked to learn that a more expensive package is actually not at all different from a cheaper package. To me this is the clearest indication of how dishonest sentech is.

Since im a mod and probably not going to cancel like the other mods (since its not getting better) you can consider me available for the task. Im in pretoria though and well, I dont know if I qualify as a "senior" member [:p]
