Teamie A should shoot them in the back leaving zero problems for teamie B?![]()
Just a quick scenario:
![]()
(Those "V" shapes are players, and it indicates the direction they are facing)
Two enemies run past Teamie A, who sees them, and needs to warn where they are. If we assume that the top of the image is the top of the map/north/their spawn (ie, 12 o'clock), what must teamie A then say to identify? Let's assume he is not aware of Teamie B's exact position.
PS - MSPaint FTW!

I can see people looking around on their map trying to remember where the 7 or the 4 goes and then get WTFPWNED by an RPG![]()
Problem is, teamie B might move forward and turn to his left (same way the enemies are facing - not towards) thinking they already ran past him.
Haha.....Yup, trying to press N or M and rotating your map will surely get you blasted and waste precious time.
I really think its all about working in squads. I dont like the idea of splitting squads on TS but everybody in squad A shouting "infantry on left" will confuse the hell out of squad B. Maybe its a necessary evil?
If im going down a street with 3 squadies and I see infantry on our left and shout it out, most of them will generally understand what I mean. Maybe the guy watching our rear will have to compute what 'my left' is but in general, we will all point left to engage him. We will also look at the minimap and hopefully he is spotted. Obviously this will not work for league but then again there arent 64 hooligans blowing crap up in league. Its a little slower and more tactical.
Its all about learning the maps and communicating with your squadies. There should be no communication between the infantry in different squads. We shouldnt even hear each other. Not sure how squad leaders would communicate with other squad leaders. Imagine im running around, dodging grenades, bullets and RPGs and someone shouts " Squad A, Sund *speaking*, infantry 3 o'clock". It will probably take me a few seconds to react and figure out what 3o'clock is.
2 Infantry moving east along road towards delta, ETA 14 seconds
So now teamie B will now that the enemies are not part him yet, cause his position is 10 seconds away from delta
In the heat of battle this super military style info isnt gonna cut it methinks... :/
This shyte is getting serious business now.
People drawing up MSPaint pictures for tactical strategies in work hours. One of these days no matter how many hours I put into this game I will be WTFPWNED by you strategic bastards. Burn bastards burn !!! Tonight I will violate your corpses"
I agree, this won't be practical now. I was just thinking of something that happened last night - We were all around the market somewhere when someone said "sniper on the other side" I was just thinking "what other side would that be then" as I died. If he said "sniper to the east" I would have seen that I was open to the east and ran for cover.
Sounds good to me too! Great suggestions and input from everybody, keep 'em coming
Who is "Kosmik" on TS?
Hey all
You guys still recruiting/accepting sign-ups for myBB? If so, then I'd give it a good go![]()
I hate PUG's... Ok, I hate snipers also, but I hate campers more. xD (no offense meant to the sniping teamies, you're awesome)
