You could always just get one of those cheapie R50 ones as a temporary thing.

In BC2 we used to go onto ts and ask what server are you on because the friend system was so rubbish.

Also you can go to the platoon page.

Obviously the easiest is to just join on friends.
 
Well, most post sums it up perfectly. Last night was pure liquid awesome. It was great playing with you guys, and against you guys. For some reason it's OK if Vizzer kills me (which he did quite a lot last night), or any myBB member for that member, as opposed to some other random dude. I personally had a lot of fun, and also got my first MVP1 Ribbon.

I hope EA/Dice will sort out the squadding/teaming soon, as I think it would be EPIC to have a whole team just myBB.

Thanks again for everyone playing last night, it was awesome!
 
Thanks guys. Was great playing with you last night. We did really well - not always the most kills but we capped points like nobodies business

Just got my BF3 copy and I wan't to get started tonight.

I'm a pretty experienced FPS gamer but never played online.
 
Hi guys,

Had my first few rounds with the MyBB platoon last night and it made for some great BF3...

Just wanted to say shot for the good atmosphere and game, it was good to play with a decent squad that actually use the defib paddles!

by all means join, just read back a few pages on what you need to do, eg join TS server, sign up with platoon and invite about 40 ppl to your friends list :)

I ordered a headset last night but will only recieve it by next week :(

Is it worth it playing without the headset?
 
IMO it's definitely worth playing (even in silence when i had sound issues), but the headset obviously adds a whole new layer to the game. The squad tactics are useful when you're trying to take tricky objectives.
 
don't know how much gaming i will get over the weekend. Looks like i might be getting rid of my i5-750 and getting a i5-2500 with ddr3-1600 hyperx blu will have to resetup everything. once this is done, next will be to replace my 5770.:)
 
On which page can i find the details for the TS server? have been taking a look but no luck so far.

I think that's right. The squad system and party system seems to be a bit messed up too. If you join a game with a party, it can still put you on opposite teams, and sometimes even if there are spots open in a squad, you can't join them. It was listening to everybody's frustration last night :p

yes, the so called PARTY functionality is realy K@K :( really pissed me off

Eventually I found some players that were in the party and sqaud'd up - must say the clan list is looooong now :D
