Hey people in the UK. I need a microwave part sent here that only ships in the UK. Please help :D
 
Surprised to see so few patrolling the foreign lands - I always get the impression there are quite a lot of us. :unsure:

How do you get to own a farm in Thailand? I thought Foreigners cannot buy property there?

I think once the travel bug bites its difficult to settle down in one place, so I'm sure there are a few of us wanderers.

For the farm I have a registered Thai company which technically owns the place.

True, especially when you consider the vast number of experts we have here on day to day life in other countries despite never having set a foot outside of South Africa.

I would have thought there are a lot more expats .... particularly in the UK, EU and Oz.
@Norrad is an interesting one ....

The South America one also interesting - I know quite a few folks who have gone off to Belize and Panama.

Asked my neigbour to send a few pics of what it's like now. Unfortunately, she seems to be using a stoneage phone.
