This morning it's flying one minute, cloud flare errors the next. iPhone/Tapatalk and Win7/Chrome

DDoS attacks continued this morning - these have been affecting quite a few sites. 20 minutes ago, I couldn't access MyBB, Elitehost, or Afrihost.

I must say, though, that CloudFlare doesn't seem to cache the pages properly... Lots of missing resources.

Attaching images still borked.

Can't locally reference any images and seems like images uploaded from computer also disappear after a short while and gives the dreaded "Invalid Attachment specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator" error.

Cannot connect to host, page loading, double posting, all frequent now.

The free version of cloudflare caches like a bot, it crawls the site and caches up to x amount of resources. With the pro plan it's more/more frequent etc.

I would think they'd cache when the page is hit by a user, but it doesn't seem to be the case

CloudFlare isnt a cache, it re-routes the attack elsewhere.

With CloudFlare, all attack traffic that would otherwise directly hit your server is automatically routed through CloudFlare’s global network of datacenters. Once attack traffic is shifted, we are able to leverage the significant global capacity of our network and infrastructure to absorb the floods of attack traffic at our network edge.

Our global infrastructure has mitigated two of the largest DDoS attacks recorded in public history: a 300Gbps DDoS attack flooding spam fighter Spamhaus in March 2013, and a record-breaking 400Gbps attack in February 2014. Additionally, CloudFlare learns from attacks against any individual customer to protect all customers on our network. This automatic learning means your website is protected against the latest threats.

I wonder what package RPM has bought, the Pro one is only $200/pm and states 100% uptime guarantee.

We apologize for the downtime on MyBroadband. Looks like there are many reasons for the downtime, including a problem with Cloudflare’s node in Johannesburg.
