Hi there,

This is a PSA. Unless you have properly backed up your backup codes, do not activate 2FA for this forum.

I am @GIGZ, and in December, I damaged my phone and resorted to purchasing a new one.

Wherever else I have 2FA, I was able to recover those accounts. Not MyBB.

If I am missing something, in recovering my old account, that assistance would be appreciated.

A suggestion, though, would be to allow recovery if one no longer has access to those 2FA apps via e-mail, at least.

Move your 2FA to Authy, as it is a lot easier to recover 2FA configs when moving devices..

That said, an admin can disable 2FA for your account, to allow to access it again.. whether they are going/want to, is another question..

Hmm, that's worth a shout.
I currently use Microsoft Authenticator & Google Authenticator.

I did post asking for help but got no luck

only problem is some 2FA keys wont get backed up with authy for some odd reason,
never figured out why.

The other advantage of Authy is that it can run on your phone, PC and tablet, so even if the backup did not restore, you can still use one of your other devices to access the 2fa codes.
