MyBroadband suggestions: New Thread

Please right align Quick Navigation in forums so that it appears in the same place (in forums it appears more in the middle).
 
When you go view posts instead of having only the thread title there cant there be a thread title and a the first few words of the posts just to check the person has been saying or you. its annoying you have to click on them all just to check what you've said..

I haven't been on the forum much of late, so I not sure of any recent changes.

I do remember that when the forum was changed everybody was complaining about the white background that was blinding. So I am just curious if anybody still feels that way. I do see that there has been a slight change to the background, unless I am imagining things!
 
Move the <a name="top" href="/vb/"> link in the page template from the <div id="header-top"> block to the <div id="top_menu"> block, so the "top" button jumps to the top of the page, and not the top of the logo... :wtf:
 
Will it be possible to create separate sub-forums for DSTV, TopTV, etc ?

General Discussions
- TV and Multimedia
- - DSTV
- - TopTV
- - <the other pay tv>
- - SABC (just to ensure no preferential treatment!!)
 
PM inbox size warnings is nonexistent.

Before the upgrade, you would get a message saying that your PM inbox was %size full before reaching your PM inbox size limit.

Recently this happened to me - I tried to send a PM, and the system refused to, telling me that my PM inbox was over the size limit of 1000 PM's. So I had to clean up old PM's before I was able to send/receive again.

Is this a functionality we have to enable via our control panel, or is it something that borked with the recent upgrade?

Oops, forgot about e-TV (must be THAT thread!). Fair comment on "Other Broadcasters".

If it's an issue with the load caused by searches, then maybe let Google do it by adding their component in here somewhere [setting it up to search this site specifically without me having to manually do a "site:mybroadband.co.za"] .

Advanced Search itself is also not exactly working when using the "Search Multiple Content Types" ...it just doesn't seem to work.

Really irks me when having to go to the Advanced Search and agreed that it's not too reputable :erm:
 
when I want to check replies in a thread it takes me to a new tab then I want to see all the posts in that thread so I go to my name, but everytime i do that it takes me to all the threads I've started. even when I go to someone elses name it takes me to all the threads they've started..c an you fix that please

Yes, please resolve this issue. I used to be able to click on the number of thread replies, go to a specific forumite and click the hyperlinked number next to their name to see all replies they had contributed in that thread. Now, as helghast states, it just takes me to all threads they've started. Which is bizarre.

Another major irritance for me is the search function. What has happened to the google quick search which was eleventy times better than the forum search function? And having to use the advanced search is a schlep now so I hardly ever use the function...
