Which phone do you have?

On Android you go into call settings, call rejection, auto reject list and select unknown.

PLEASE NOTE:
The "MyTools" service will be discontinued
from 11 December 2013.

Any one have any idea what they are going to be replacing it with?

@Cell_C: What? Why is this?

Cell C has been receiving many complaints on the poor service of the my tools platform.

We have found that the Mytools platform had a negative service impact on the Customer’s ability to make a call i.e. if the platform is down, then Customers cannot make and receive calls or data services.

Cell C is currently revisiting how we can relaunch these services in the near future.

Customers that currently use the voicemail to email service will automatically continue will continue to receive their voicemails via email which will be sent from [email protected]. The Customer will continue to dial 144 to listen to their voice mails and effective 12 Dec’13 the Customer will need to re-record their voicemail greeting.

Well that sucks,I enjoyed using it was pretty handy,at least you guys are being transparent about the problem.

I'm guessing this did not affect all customers though because even when mytools was down I could receive and make calls and use data connections just fine?

The problem with that option is it just cuts off the call. On MyTools the caller got a message saying that unknown numbers are blocked, and can then leave a voicemail message if they wanted.

I keep voice mail off. If I do not answer, people know they must try again, or send Email/SMS. Many are happy they do not waste money for talking to the machine. Old GSM code does a trick: ##002#

Yup, bye bye mytools.. Just got this sms from CellC

bye bye mytools = Cell C you suck

Why Cell C why?

Don't you want to compete against vodacom ? (MTN I don't know if they have something like that)

Very few people made use of the function.

Setting up blocking functions is just as easy on most smartphones.
The call log is a hassle to delete every month in MyTools. Much easier to transfer the call log directly from the phone.

Are you not receiving email voice mail notifications, with a voice recording attached? *DM*
That's correct. I used to get them, but they seem to have stopped around the time MyTools was decommissioned.
