N2 protesters throw petrol bombs at cops

I think live rounds need to be mixed in with the rubber bullets at this point...

Throw a petrol bomb at the police or innocents... get lead in your body...

We need to stop ***** footing around this BS, if you threaten peoples lives, you get put down.

The anc is a bunch of....... If they can't rule it, they lose all common sense and 'make ungovernable', they turn to violence and destruction. Now someone (probably abzo by the looks of it ) going to try tell me I'm racist and it's all apartheid fault, right?

We take Cape Town from the corrupt! The rich! The oppressors of generations who have kept us down with myths of opportunity, and we give it back to you... the people. Cape Town is yours. None shall interfere. Do as you please. Start by storming the N2, and freeing the oppressed! Step forward those who would serve. For an army will be raised. The powerful will be ripped from their decadent nests, and cast out into the cold world that we know and endure. Courts will be convened. Spoils will be enjoyed. Blood will be shed. The police will survive, as they learn to serve true justice. This great city... it will endure. Cape Town will survive!

Throw some petrol bombs back at them. No need to use bullets, use their own tactics then they can't complain.

Rather enjoyed it this morning. Our bus driver took a detour through the townships and we got to see how the other half live. Ironic it was jus a brother on the bus who was actually scared about us going through the township, us white okes just acted like a bunch of tourists.

Got to work on time and all was safe.

They must not allow it to escalate. That is exactly what ANCYL wants.
Stick with the rubber bullets and water cannons and arrest the ring leaders and charge them with public violence and incitement.

+1

I really think that this should be handled as peacefully as possible because the mob is looking for an excuse.

Well, the ANCYL wouldn't be able to organise a protest and incite violence if there weren't real issues to be dealt with.
There is a serious lack of service delivery in some parts of the cape and that is why the ANCYL is able to do what they do.
Try going to a middle class suburb to incite people to violence over lack of service delivery - obviously it won't work because the middle class actually have service delivery.

I do NOT condone violence or the incitement of violence by anyone, neither do I blame apartheid, I'm just pointing out that the environment is one that supports protest and makes the incitement of violence ridiculously easy. Improve service delivery to an extent where the ANCYL's cries fall on deaf ears - that is the only solution. And while we can blame the ANCYL for inciting violence (and hopefully punish those responsible) we cannot blame them for lack of service delivery - that blame falls squarely at the door of the DA.

I wonder if these protesters understand that the ANCYL are sending them out with the hope hat they're fired upon, injured, and killed...?

I am shocked at how quickly and easily people in this thread start promoting the killing of others. Is life really that cheap to you?

Only the mastermind knows this

If is when people have no respect for life. If someone threw a petrol bomb at you would you like to calmy try and talk them out of it.

It should be if you threaten my life with a petrol bomb, you die!

Peacefull protests are fine - everyone has the right to protest. But when it turns violent, then that's a different matter!

I don't think anybody has an issue with them legitimately protesting, as is their constitutionally protected right. But illegal protests organised solely to disrupt the province, incite violence, and that end in bombs being thrown - well that's not protesting at all, wouldn't you agree? That's just the ANCYL making good on their promises. Which is, quite frankly, deplorable and certain YL kiddies need a good spanking...

11. Life

Everyone has the right to life.

People are gatvol. People that work towards helping this bleeding country, people that are taxed around every corner and then see their hard earned money being taken by corrupt officials, then the same ruling party's more millitant spawn have people damage the structures that were paid for not by the poor, that use it, but by the middle class that is exploited and are smart enough to see it.
