We do, especially if it's all on a N96 ;)

Yeah, in my opinion, it does not make sense either. Perhaps is countries where you spend over an hour on a train or a bus but here I can't see where you would feel the need to watch TV?

I suppose if I really put some thought into it ...

Perhaps sneak a peek at the cricket while at TV?
Catch the game when away on holiday with no TV around?
Give your kid your phone to watch TV while at gym, travelling long distances etc?

Oops, just looked at that site and I see no supersport (only updates) so there goes point one and two... :)

Wow I didnt know it had DVBH, I thought it died in 2006.
I tested it back then on a Sagem. Worked very well!!
It will take off with this phone imo, the Samsung P910 seemed to be a flop even with DVBH.
The N96 will be here by Jan/Feb next year though... By that time the iPhone will have spread like wild fire!!

Nokia have a touch screen phone on the way... I think they used it in Batman TDK?

Gees as late as that?!!! That's no good, honestly!! Touch pro for me....

yep unfortunatelly it takes like 6 months after they release it in europe before it hits here.. i waited that long for my N73 too, but it was worth the wait ( i sat with my old 6610 for 2 and a half years quite (im)patiently lol).. and today the N73 is regarded as one of the most succesful phones out there, despite the negative criticism it received while nokia was still pregnant with it...

as for me.. the tv out of the N96 is a good feature coz i store lots of vids on my phone and can then just watch it on my tv also that means i can playback mp3's through my tv surround sound as well.. ofcourse the N96 has a 3.5mm audio jack as well so either way my sounds are gonna be sweet!! :D

i think it was mobile-review.com who did a comparison with the an N95 and one of the best SE walkman phones and the nokia won hands down.. i expect no less from the N96 :D

and yes, the DVBH thingy i would use when i want to catch the formula 1 while stuck at some boring wedding or family function lol

i must say i'm always impressed by the specs of the HTC's and JK8 really knows his stuff if you need resources for it, but i'm a nokia fanboy at heart.. just a like a proud ford owner might admire a nissan or toy, he'll stick with his XR6 ;)

More bad news, it was suppose to release in September in UK but now it might be later, the later it releases there, the later it is here...
Set for March next year, yoh thats long...

lol

that really is LONG!!! but then again.. my contract is officially up for upgrade in november.. (tho they've been bugging me via sms to upgrade for the last 2 weeks now) so thats not that many months after then to wait :)

lol i've always had patience with these things :)

looks like Nokia is planning a global release for the N96, so hold thumbs we may geddit in October!!

yep this does look like good news, the launch of the 3G iphone could promt nokia to release earlier in other countries (hopefully us) ;) as well..

also the sooner they launch the sooner they can debug the thing so that we recieve more solid units hardware/software wise, i remember my N73 was quite buggy initially and only stabilised after the first few firmware updates..

Yep, I think Nokia wants to snub the launch of the Moses phone, otherwise everyone will be signed up with an iphone and sales of the n96 will be poor.

well i just read that i-phone sales in india are not very good at all due to the high price over there... more than THREE times what they paying for it in the US!!

link here: http://technology.iafrica.com/news/technology/1104380.htm

so its possible the N96 may actually come to be the next best bet after all... all depends on how hard nokia is gonna hit us for it over here...

i wonder if it'll come shipped with that nokia free music pack thing they've been speaking about, where you can download music for free to your nokia and keep it even after the licence expires... i forget what they call it..

Yeah, I've read that the Indians decided to overprice the iphone....greed always get in the way.

ooooh.... gsmarena say Nokia taken too long to release it and the tech is no longer cutting edge.... mmmm... he who hesitates is lost, Nokia are total noobs for not fast tracking this little beaut...

lol
