Naas Botha? Useless F***k!

I am the only one who thinks Naas Botha knows nothing about rugby? "Ja, well, but, ah..." Had a friend who always would want to rush back to the TV at half time to see what "Naas had to say". The man has absolutely no insight or at least he cannot express them.

SA must have the worst commentators in the world! I mean, who is any good? Lets not name the terrible ones, it will take more time.

Because you dislike a commentator does not make them bad at what they do.

I don't think Naas knows nothing about rugby but perhaps he knows a lot more than the average joe but spectators wouldn't value the opinion of joe so Naas is employed instead...

Personally I like Naas and his broken English livens the whole thing up for me ... he's practically created his own little language ('Let's be honest ...'). Maybe you can crit him on his English, which I really don't think is a big deal, but his analysis of the game is quite solid IMO. Beats old Joost hands down, that guy is as thick as two planks! A legend on the field but not sure who told him he has a way with words :D

And the thickest of them all IMHO is the arrogant b*ms that can not or refuse to speak the home language of the abovementioned... Ain't that a shame...

A five letter word starting with F and ending with K.... don't tell me, I'll get it....
Freak?
Flank?...well maybe, but let's be fair - it wasn't his chosen position, he was a good flyhalf.
Flock?
Flick?

;)

Flank?...well maybe, but let's be fair - it wasn't his chosen position, he was a good flyhalf.

Come on be honest he was one of the top fly halves in the world.

A good idea of how good he really was runs around the following story...

He was only say 18 or something say in 1976. Then the All Blacks toured SA.
Seeing him play in a club game they were impressed and guaranteed his safety to encourage Northern Transvaal to select him in the tourgame they will play NT... Buurman van Zyl was not willing to take the risk...
Accolades from the side of the All Blacks... that is how the roomer goes...
