Nano SIM's on CellC

Apparently, but I haven't received any sms's since I tried at 9 this morning. Was supposed to take 2 hours..

I called them this am. Cell C sim is working but with some other number, the lady said the port/ change will happen at midnight. Also my vodacom sim is still working. Im assuming it will stop working once ported

Your cellc c sims must not be put into the phone until the Vodacom sims dies. Else it will not work.

I put my sim in yesterday morning, even used it with a 084 number, port still happened at around 7pm. All fine now
 
I went to the cell c shop in clear water mall, the postive side is they do have nano sims available but the negative side is they charge you R150 for the sim. Really!!!!!! R150 for a sim card in this day and age, cum on now cell c. Do you know what i could do with R150, I can get 2 all-in-one vouchers and still have change left over.... Major fail Cell C...

That is pathetic from Cell C. I remember them quoting me R120 for a Micro SIM card for my iPad.

I just bought the regular sized SIM card and I cut it up to Micro SIM card size.

Still works perfectly and saved myself R120. Daylight robbery from Cell C!
 
Vodacom charged me the same to get a microsim, when I upgraded my contract. Its ridiculous.
 
Has anyone gotten a delivery of their phone? I'm still waiting for the sms...
 
Got mine on Friday but waiting to activate the nano sim. I have been on the queue (084145) for more than 15 mins atleast and I do not have the time to wait on hold for that long. This is ridiculous, I just need them to transfer from normal Sim to the nano.


I was told it could take upto 48 hrs, WTF!. Pls share your experiences. Any sortcuts I can use :)
 
As luck would have it. I got a call a few minutes back and they did the sim swap. It was immediate. Old Sim stopped working and the new one is working. Now to setup the iphone :)
 
When u get a call for sims swap, it is immediate. The problem is when someone opens the request from cellc direct. That could take 48 hours.....

Cell C store in Canal Walk (Cape Town) had some stock the weekend, although they did admit, there wasn't many left...

I got a nano sim at Cresta this morning, think they had a few more as well.
