Anybody used one of these drives on OS X - the software supplied by the vendor is total crap!! Only one user can have write access and it takes about 20 min for the drive to be mounted on the desktop. Have not tried it in windows as I don't use that no more.
I am going to take the drive out of that NDAS casing and stick it into a normal SATA external case and plug it in my apple airport extreme - should give me better access over the network as well.

Good idea, I've got a Lacie plugged into my 1TB Time Capsule, the Lacie is actually more responsive than the Time Capsule drive.

I user NDAS Utility (free download - just Google it). Works perfectly on mine connected to my MacBook Pro and several PCs over 802.11g.

NDAS WTF? N and D are usually mutually exclusive.

From wikipedia:

"Network Direct Attached Storage (NDAS) is a proprietary system, patented by Ximeta, for connecting external digital storage devices such as hard-disks, flash memory and tape drives via ethernet networks. Of interest, unlike other, more common forms of networked storage such as SAN and NAS, NDAS devices do not use TCP/IP to communicate over the network."

Sounds like a bad idea to me.

Ja, its cr@p - got the drive a 500GB for R900 a few months ago - so putting it in an external case won't be too much of a loss.

MTNDD - I have the latest drivers from Ximeta and the ones from TrekStor but still the same hassles

I use the Ximeta version, found it to be a lot more stable on Mac than on PC.
