Telkom Group operating revenue increases by 9.8%, ADSL growth continues

--Group EBITDA margin decreased from 37.7% to 33.4%.
--Operating profit decreased by 9.3% to R6.7 billion.
--Net debt to EBITDA increased to 2.0 times from 1.7 times at September 30, 2007.
--Cash generated from operations decreased by 0.5% to R6.4 billion.

Tsk tsk... tough times ahead for the business who's been screwing it's clients since its inception.

BT say they are connecting a new customer every 10 seconds, equating to an average of nearly 60,000 new connections each week.

So one can assume it iook BT just over 8 weeks to reach 500,000, give or take a few days..

Not really @ 500 000. They missed it by 8 226 clients. Hopefully Neotel can get their act together and help South Africa so that TGK does not reach their target of 592,000 ADSL subscribers by the end of the 2009 financial year.

Yeah - because we all know that they are overachievers and the planned 60 000 subscribers they are targeting was a cleverly employed ruse to be able to brag about how they smashed their projections. seriously, Neotel = FAIL.
