I can't find any t's and c's on nedbanks avo easyterms, since the link on their app doesn't show anything, but when they launched easy terms, they launched it labeled as interest free.

I looked at an I phone 16 128g phone under this category, which is priced at R829pm x 36 months, which amounts to bout 30k for the device, whereas the cash price for the same device in a different color is 19k (marked down to 18k)

That's more than a 10k difference in price for the same thing, or 16% interest if you will..

I know "interest free" is too good to be true, but it's weird that they're allowed to label it as such.

Has anyone bought on easyterms? Do their ts and cs on sale specify "fixed interest" rather than interest free?

cant say ive seen that but best call Nedbank about it use their toll free number 0800110929 general number for the bank but im sure they can put you through.

as for the monthly this is the same with close to anything check vodacom for example what the sub cost and the monthly on the device you will always pay a lot more for the device (if you can do cash go that route).

could be a glitch and not showing correctly or something you have to apply to your account best speak to them i cant say for certain.

However there are some stores that offer iPhones on a BuyNowPayLater set up like Happypay and or Payflex (or justpaynow)

we dont do these *(i cant sell iPhones at a competitve price to istore so i dont bother with apple devices)

Yeah, "interest-free" financing often just means the cost is baked into the price. The 36-month term inflates it a lot. Might be worth calling Nedbank to clarify, but if you can, cash is always the better move.
