Need a n00b to frag?

Hi Guys,

With the standard sniper rifle does bullet drop really come into play cos I am not to bad with it but long shots are freaking difficult.

There is some bullet drop, but not much. Long range shots, aim with the reticule slightly on top of their head. Also you can shoot ppl you can't see, if you have their name light up, take a few pot shots, you'll surprised :)

Never understood the fascination with sniping myself. Best is to pwn snipers with the PKM (massively cool unlimited ammo sniper weapon :) )

I'm busy trying the other classes:o but will only be able to really play next week when my son (1 year old) goes to visit his grandma for a few days. :DThen we'll see... Oh yes, we'll see...:rolleyes:

Best way is to buy special forces or use someones PC who has it installed, use your account, get 5 points on a spec forces map and then you have access to 3rd tier...

Personally, I'd unlock either the DAO -12 or PKM first. PKM is awesome once you get used to it, and DAO up close rocks :)

Yea I've unlocked the PKM. Awesome gun but I'm not to good with PKM. But I'll keep working on it. Thanks for the info Chuck. I'm going to go buy special forces soon.. :D. If you install SF can you still play on the SGS servers like:

196.4.79.20
196.4.79.28
196.4.79.31

And I know of the other SF SGS servers. I'm unlocking the DOA on my next unlock. Should be the end of next week latest. I know how you feel sober, doing so well with sniper and all of a sudden. BOOM :eek: :D
 
SF is a separate expansion that requires a server running SF to play on. SF will not affect general BF2 play, aside from the extra unlocks.

All the maps, factions and vehicles specific to SF are only played on SF servers.

In SA

I think there are SF games every wednesday. Check the SGS forums for info on games.

Trick with PKM, go prone *always* and one tap shots, don't spray and pray, you wont hit anything ;)
 
Ah okay :D Thanks Chuck. So the SF server is only on wednesday? Well if it is then that sucks.. I do prone when I use the PKM but I usally just spray :p See you around the servers :)
 
I finally got SF on Sunday. I've unlocked almost all the 3rd tier weps :D Hey Sobersoldier did you go and get SF? And if you did and having trouble installing it and playing, just ask. :)

Hey does anyone know of any SA Battlerecorder servers or servers that don't have a lot of ping? Every server I go to I keep getting kicked for high ping. And it's getting annoying! I've tried doing it on single player, you record all the stuff and you can watch it. But it doesn't seem to work. Anyway please help!
