Most Android devices have some "Do not disturb" or "Quiet hours" setting. I believe iOS also has this. Will be under sound preferences. This is what it looks like on my G2:

A pity they put South Africa on the list of countries where you need to seek legal permission before requesting the service from them. (besides the monthly R7500 fee)
